My story has no happy ending. But if you learn anything from what I'm about to tell you, you will always pay attention to your dreams or nightmares. My oldest son Jeff and his father and my husband's close friend were working out of town. For a whole week, they all kept having a horrible nightmare of someone falling to their death and dying. They were all so shook up by it and didn't know what to make of it. On Friday, they had come home as usual and my son had come into my room to talk to me about what they had all been experiencing that week. Jeff told me to watch over his youngest brother Dustin. I asked Jeff why and that he was scaring me. He told me that he saw Dustin fall to his death. I said "Oh honey that's horrible!" I asked him how he knew it was Dustin and he said because I was right there holding him. I tried to comfort him and begged him not to go to work on Monday. He said "I'll be ok moms". I was still having that horrible feeling.
On Monday, I was very nervous but had heard from them relieved. On Wednesday my son Dustin and I were coming back home from town when all of a sudden I started crying hysterically. I couldn't quit. Dustin asked me what was wrong and I said "something happened". We stepped in the door and 5 minutes later the phone rang. It was my husband's friend telling me that Jeff had fallen and it was real bad. I knew that he was gone. I felt him leave me in that instant. I called the hospital before we were stepping out the door to see how hurt the love of my life was. The doctor got on the phone and told me that he was sorry and there was nothing they could do to save my son.
I leave you with the hopes that everyone that reads my story and feels my sorrow will always listen to your dreams or nightmares. It could save your life or someone you love.
