My Life Has Been All About The Weird

I've had several strange experiences in my life. From the time I was a little girl, I've had odd things happen. As a 5 year old, I witnessed objects float across my room. I've felt presences in the basement of my house. As I got older, my intuition became very strong-especially when it came to my mother. I'd had a falling out with my parents and went to live with my grandmother in another state. As I was sitting in class one afternoon, I felt panic like I'd never known before. My first thought was, "I have to call my mother!" As soon as class was out, I ran to my grandmother's home and called my mom. She told me my timing was perfect because she and my father had just returned home from the emergency room. She'd had an accident and fallen. The injury required several stitches. As an adult, my husband and I had moved about 1000 miles away from our home state while he was serving in the Army. I had a dream one night. I saw my mother in the middle of a warehouse. All around her it was pitch black but a pure white light shone directly on her face. I could see from her expression she was very worried. The next day, I called her from a pay phone at work. She was very relieved to hear from me because she'd been trying to call my house for a week. I hadn't realized all the phones were out of order on the military post where we were living. I just thought we weren't getting any phone calls. After coming back to Illinois, we moved into a hundred year old farm house out in the country. I would wake up in the middle of the night because I could swear I heard music playing from a very old Victrola style record player, but the minute I got out of bed the music stopped. I had a very similar experience in the first home we purchased. It had been built in the 1970's and we didn't have any history on the previous owners. We did know that we weren't happy with some of the DIY jobs they did around the house. One day, my husband and I were getting ready for a party and we were both in the bathroom. My husband made a critical remark about a tile choice made by the previous owner and a picture flew off the wall and struck him in the back of the head. It seems that the previous owner was widowed very suddenly at an early age and had to fix the house up herself in order to sell it. We later found out the woman's husband had died at 48 from a heart attack in that house. In this same house, I would often find myself alone on my cleaning days. Several times while mopping the floors I've heard someone call "Roseanne!" out loud and I know there was no one in the house but me. For the last twelve years that we lived in that house, my mother had moved in with us because of her health. Five months before she passed away, I felt a presence in the house. It was very dark and depressing. I felt it in every shadow of every corner of every room. My husband and sister felt it too. During that 5 month period, my husband and I would be standing in the kitchen at night with just the light over the sink on and we would both see a shadow go across the mirror that hung in the living room. Just before my mom passed away, I walked into the house and I couldn't stand the presence anymore. I said out loud, "If you're hear for my mother, please take her quickly but don't let her suffer and take her in her sleep. And I don't want to feel you in my house again until you come for me." The next day, she passed away in her sleep.
