At around 6 am yesterday morning, I heard my girlfriend call out my name. Once at 6, then around 7, then around 8. She left for work at 5:30 am that morning. I was half awake, half asleep but the sound of her voice was loud and distinct enough to make me jump out of bed. I was not dreaming at the time, kind of of in that sleepy in-between-state. I'm afraid that this is some sort of warning that she's in danger because it sounded as if she was calling for help. I'm also very concerned that she called out 3 times. The number 3 can be used by demons as a mock of the holy trinity by demons and while I'm not Christian, I do believe in evil. I've been told in the past (by a pastor) that he believes that I have a demon attached to me. It's a long story I don't care to get into but I'm very concerned about my girlfriend. I don't want to bring this up to her as she's a very logical person and I fear she'll think I'm crazy. I don't want to alarm her but as I've said before, I feel in my gut that this was somehow a warning. Has anyone had any experience with this? Hearing the voice of someone still living but just not present? I see and hear ghosts fairly regularly but am not accustomed to this sort of thing and want to know how to protect she and I from potentially negative forces that may be at work here. I could be wrong, maybe I was just dreaming but I don't think I was. I was in that weird in-between state of sleep and awake and it sounded as if she was shouting at me from my bedside into my left ear. Please help as I'm extremely worried

Regular, living humans are often scared by unfamiliar voices in their space. So if you have a Spirit who wants to contact you without scaring you and they want to get you to turn around and/or respond - they may try to the mimic that of a familiar voice.
It's a way to get you to notice them, be more open to it and not be immediately afraid.
As, once fear takes over, real, honest communication becomes impossible just like in life. Does not always mean it is a demon! Could be an earthbound.

It is most certainly not a Demon, despite common belief Demon's tend to ignore Human's quite a bit, and not all of them are "Evil", as Demon's are simply a species, they are not "Spirit's" they can die, and turn into a ghost of a Demon, but would normally reincarnate instantiously. Same goes with Angel's just another species, and not all "Good". I should also indicate that same goes with almost all mythological creatures, or species.
I would say just ignore It if you are freaked out, if you see a Spirit infront of you, do not run. This is very important, do not run. Just listen if It is talking, or watch If it is watching you.
