When I was little, probably around 3 years old, I lived in a house that I can say with 100% confidence was an active house. I've had so many different experiences in that house I could go on forever talking about it. For now, I'll only talk about this experience only because its probably the strangest one and also the most consistent one.
I had a vast fear of sleeping in my own room. I never knew why, I can fall asleep fine if I'm sleeping in the guest bedroom or if I sleep with my parents in their bedroom, but never in my own room. I always chose to sleep with my parents because I never liked the idea of sleeping alone.
I don't remember when this started, but I had knowledge that whenever I slept in my parent's bedroom and pulled the bed sheets over my head and take them back off, a headless man will appear at the side of the bed. I remember this man wearing a green suit and a red tie. He never just happened to be there when I pulled the bed sheets out of my head. I would pull out my bed sheets and then wait a little bit and then he'll just suddenly appear before my eyes.
He would do the same thing every time he appears. He would stand over me, say something to me (although every time he speaks to me, he's talking gibberish), and then he would harshly tickle my stomach. It was tickle that was also slightly painful. After that he disappears. I always told my parents about it but they always said it was my imagination. I got sick of them telling me that, so I decided to try and catch him by screaming as loud as I could to wake up my parents while he was standing over the bed.
I pulled the sheets over my head, waited a good second or two, then pulled them off my head. I remember waiting for him to appear. To me the scariest part was always the time between me taking off the sheets from my head, and the headless man appearing. Sure enough, the headless man was standing over me again. As soon as I saw him, I shouted as loud as I possibly could in hopes my parents would wake up. But to my surprise they didn't even twitch from my shout. They were still asleep even though they were laying right beside me! It was almost as if I was in a completely different dimension from my parents and in this new dimension I was in, it was just me and the headless man. After he tickled me and disappeared, I turned to my mom and quietly said, "mom?". To my surprise she woke up and asked me, "what?".
I've been visited by the headless man almost every night. And he ALWAYS appeared whenever I threw the bed sheets over my head. I don't even know why I did it in the first place. Part of me was skeptical the he only showed up when I put the sheets over my head. I tried figuring out why he really came and if there is a different reason he appeared, and if the covers over my head was just a huge coincidence. I would also like to know what he was trying to say to me, and why he would only tickle me. Another thing I question about is why my parents stay asleep when I scream?
This would have been the end of my story but I took a break from typing and laid in my bed, looking at my ceiling. I heard a voice tell me "Scooby Doo". I love Scooby Doo it has to be one of my most favorite childhood shows ever, but it was so random hearing it. I then remembered that there was an episode where there was a man who looked very similar to the man I described. Now I have more questions, was it just a bad spirit trying to play with my mind by using a form from what I've seen on t.v? Or was it a trickster ghost that likes to take different shapes and all the other spirits I've seen in that house are just the same spirit but in different forms (I have seen a spirit change forms in front of my eyes but that's going to be another story)? Or maybe I just watched too much t.v as a child and I'm losing it?
This has to be my second most unbelievable story and I'm always hesitant to tell this story because I wouldn't even believe it if I haven't experienced myself.
