Man With Walking Stick Or Staff

Recently I purchased a dashcam for my car so I could record any possible future accidents or events that might occur as an added witness if need be.

I was driving home one morning coming from the gym, going down a street I always use toward home when I saw a tall lean white man with a silver goatee wearing brown cargo shorts and a baseball cap walking on the left side of the road on the sidewalk. He was also holding a long thin walking stick or staff that looked well polished which came up to his shoulders. I thought it odd that someone would be needing a walking stick as there are no real places to go hiking or hill climbing in my suburban neighborhood.

As the day progressed I didn't think twice about the man until I reviewed my recent recordings to delete useless videos and keep the camera free for more recordings for when I drive again later. Each video is recorded with the date and time, so I started with that morning's video ready to delete it as an unnecessary video to hold onto.

What I noticed was very odd. The man with the walking stick was not in the video! I reviewed the eight-minute clip over and over and even looked with a magnifying glass, thinking that maybe I drove by too quickly and his image was blurry, but no, there was no sign of him on my video!

Before I believe the unbelievable I like to rationalize out every possible idea, and I still come up with solid proof that what I saw, may not have been seen by everyone or anyone else, but me. And if this is true than who was he and what was the reason for me to see him at that moment with a staff or rod?

I don't understand how he didn't get recorded.
