My husband was an active professional musician from 1970-1999. He enjoyed a great deal of regional success and was marginally able to make a living with the acquisition of a guitar tech job at a local music store. He was an avid Jimi Hendrix fan. I was a fan but only to the extent of his major hits.
It is important to mention that my interest in Hendrix was not in any way obsessive. I was appreciative of his talent and did consider myself a fan when asked but never really purchased recordings or went to his concerts.
I woke up in a fully awakened state with the words Golden Rose audible to me to the extent that I was alarmed and woke my husband. I asked him what this could possibly mean and he said that Hendrix published and performed a song, "One Rainy wish" that address a girl who he called the golden rose. We were amused.
A month later I had a dream that Hendrix was standing there full body image in front of me and said telepathically to have my husband buy a white strat. My husband always wanted to like the sound and play of a strat but preferred Paul Reed Smith guitars and routinely used them exclusively. He found a white strat on ebay and bought it. He found another and bought that as well. From that day forward he had played them almost exclusively.
A year later, in another dream Jimi was pointing to a thick white neon sign, "PILOT"...we tried for several years to understand what this message meant only to find that the day of my father's death was Jimi's birthday. My father was a professional pilot.
