My experience began with a dream I had a few years ago. In this dream, I was being pursued by a demon who wanted me to do something for him, although I don't know exactly what. I woke up and, to my fright, the demon was standing just a few feet from way I lay. I could see him clearly. For the most part, he looked like a black, indistinct mass except that he had a bone white face and a red slash for a mouth. I was so afraid that I was unable to move, but he disappeared after a few minutes. By the next morning, I had myself convinced that what I had seen was just a product of my barely awake mind.
Unfortunately, that wasn't my last visit from him. He shows up from time to time in my dreams, and he always let's me catch a glimpse of him when I wake. He also seems to be closer each time I see him.
The other night something different happened. He told me his name. He whispered it in my ear as I was waking up from another one of his dreams, and now I can't get it out of my head. I don't actually know what it is when I'm awake, but some part of me does know what his true name deep down inside. I believe it starts with Ly, but I can't say for sure. It causes me to shake just to try and recall his name. There are times it's right on the tip of my tongue, although I wouldn't let myself say it aloud even if I could.
I've seen spirits all of my life, and I've seen a few dark ones - but this one truly terrifies me. I've done nothing to invite him as far as I know. I've been praying, but I'm still afraid. This has been going on for about 3 years now. Help? Advice?
