In two separate incidents, I interacted with persons possessing what is classically termed a "magnetic personality". In neither case was the lady in question someone who would be mistaken for a model--both where somewhat attractive, yet not "breathtakingly" so. Within the span of a short conversation, however, there was a certain undefinable "something" that seemed to manifest a feeling of having known either person for years!
This effect was not something confined to my personal experience. The "impact" either of these ladies had upon persons with whom they interacted was readily observable. This is, I suppose, what the french term "je ne sais quoi"--not a very enlightening term, I fear, as it translates into english as "I know not what"!
The factor in question is NOT something learned in what use to be termed "charm school". It has little to due with flirtatious behavior, flashing a "game show host" smile, wearing a certain type of clothes, etc... Rather, it seems to be something etheric--and, I feel, is an actual manifestation of what the chinese refer to as "Qi".
Objectively viewed, relative "like-ability" would be as much as a "survival trait" in the animal kingdom as would be speed, agility, or any other trait which would enhance one species chances of survival.
Is it so very "far fetched" to assume that certain persons might well exhibit a sort of "enhanced personal attractiveness", naturally?
On a few occasions, I had the chance to work (very briefly) with a third generation yogi & shiatsu expert who seemed to have developed the ability to stand within a couple of feet of a person, and thereby "feel" their bio-energy--that person's "aura", as it where. Far from being merely a method of "diagnosing" irregularity in health, she seem also quite capable of sensing "predispositions" with regard to personality traits in a given individual.
I would LOVE to hear from anyone & everyone who has any personal experience with regard to the learned ability to sense traits, ESPECIALLY those related to "magnetic personality"; also, anyone with theories on how such personalities might be established, strengthened, etc...
