I have to ask how you first had these demons. And also I have to thank you for writing this story since it has helped put together the story of my life a little bit more.

I know exactly what you are talking about since I have had these "helper demons" for a long time. My theory is that there is two relationships that can happen between humans and helpful demons.

The first is demon guides. These are usually powerful and might take the shape of horrifying things. These can be impressed by a human or made a contract with by a human. Usually they ask for something great in return and will by contract have to be by your side unless you release them or die. It is usually a extreme relationship where both sides hardly trust each other.

The other is helper demons. These are still demons, but just do not have a strong bite against what humans they aquaint themselves with. They do not give you powers. It is more like they give a spark to what is already there. This causes that power to gain strength and cause a influx of energy and emotion which they can feed on. They in return might do some of the tasks which a regular spirit guide might do. You form a friendly relationship with them that goes both ways and they seem like friends. They stay mostly because of loyalty than you wanting to control them.

I remember that once for a while I had two helper demons that were fighting to be my main helper demon. One was filled with light, anger, and fire. The other cold, darkness, and mercilessness. They both seemed to be evenly matched but the fiery one got the upper hand and one day I just felt the other one leave. I even started to feel teary eyed.

Another time I was going theough a very bad day when I felt something ask if I wanted it to take over. I said yes and I went through a few days where I was just like on autopilot on what I had to do. It helped comfort me qhen I had no one to turn to.

These helpers are demons but different. Remember there are two differences between angels and demons: What is their source of power and the names we gave them.

I second Ently's question. If they are demons, get rid of them. "demon" is a term specifically used for beings of other plains that harm, it is a term to describe beings of other plains that are harmful, they are not a race. If they don't harm, they're something else entirely.

Obviously, don't take what I say as the absolute answer. There are people who know a lot more about demons than I do, but please take what I say into serious consideration.

The fact you can communicate with demons is a of gift. You can probably communicate with light angels too... And probably more. Balance exist in OURSELVES. Not good vs bad in world. You already possess this gift.

Why do you think they need YOUR permission vs you needing theirs? Think about it... You have more power than you think. They want you to think THEY'RE showing you. You were you (gifts and all) before they showed up.

Oh, I know you control the demons too and they control you. Seems like a symbiotic relationship when you described (feeding off energy, they show you things, you allow them to operate through you as a vessel). I was saying you don't control the humans because you gave the example of putting fear in people. Having gifts can make us feel powerful but I remind myself and understand is that EVERYONE is capable and has gifts. What makes us "special" is that we're aware. Nothing more. The demons are tricking you that's why I say be careful... But, ultimately the choice is yours.

I know I control them because they usually ask me if there's anything they can do for me. I'm not saying they are my servants, just rather friends. Evil friends but most of the time they don't do evil things but my next story will be on the description of my demons appearances. I'm answering to both of you by the way. And yeah I doubt I have E.S.P

They are demons because they have shown me things I actually still don't believe.

I don't mean this as put off as it's going to come across. But, ask the demons why they follow you? You've already given them permission to use you... Just as that person got fear in them because they gave YOU permission. You do not have the power to put anything in anyone. The person has to choose to accept. Your control is an illusion. Be careful.

No offence but how do you know they are demons, and not just, regular spirits who might be attracted to you because you have e.s.p.?
