Hi Chigra, I also see lights. Sometimes they flash and disappear as quick has they come. I see them mainly around myself and if I talk to people about my spiritual experiences I see them more. I defo believe it is 'spirit' or 'spirit guilds' There nothing to be scared and the more you open youself up to these experiences the more you will feel. I have started seeing more and sensing spirit around me plus having strange dreams and at times it can feel scarey but just as long has you only allow love in your heart and have faith there's nothing to be scared of. It maybe someone giving you reasurrence or letting you know they are there looking after you. I also get sweet smells sometimes, mainly when I've needed reasurrence or if I've felt scared.

I've never really thought of them as beautiful... But seeing them is certainly a pleasure and still a bit of a mystery 😊

I don't really have a clue, but this is the first thing that came to my mind when I read this story: It could be spirit guides, guardian angels of even passed relatives looking over members of there families and following certain people.

I would love to be able to see this, I imagine it's beautiful! 😁

Last night as I was falling asleep I was thinking I should practice concentration and visualization techniques I heard this really distinct man's voice very clearly speak to me. I only got the first part of the word and then I woke myself up because it was so unexpected.

The night before I starting seeing those lights again but there were so many it almost formed a shape. I tried to focus in on it, but I could grasp the image.

I've seen things close to that, except I see them in digital photos that I take myself or when someone takes a picture close to me. I did a close-up pic of a Flyleaf poster I have that's about a foot in height and length, and found nine orbs.
but I can seem little lights off camera too, but only in dim-light rooms or at nighttime.

I was awoken tuesday morning by a woman calling "Hello Graham" was loud enough to wake me... My reaction was to reply "Yeah!"... This happened between 09. 00 and 10.00...(I wasn't due to start work until 12.00)... There didn't seem to be any urgency in the voice... It was just like someone trying to wake me... I was alone in the cottage...
That's it really... Nothing exciting... Just more of the "Strange stuff" lol

Terriffic! What you are seeing are "spirit lights" or angels or "enlightened" beings from God, whatever you choose. I see their lights all the time 24/7 even in the middle of the night. Their colors range from blues to crystal laser pure light with gold sparks and their sizes range from about that of a dime to magnificent huge columns which streak accross the sky and miles long! Go figure. I've sensed my angels since childhood and have them around a lot. So do you. So does everyone depending upon their spiritual sensitivity.

Enjoy your beautiful journey in life. Just as an FYI: No one person is better than another because of these gifts and one can actually be distracted and taken off their path in life by developing "gifts" when we should be sacrificing, loving and practicing selflessness, which increases the strength of the gifts. Love is the source of All.

One more thing. Be VERY careful of "who" you "invite" from the other realm. Like Dracula, evil has to be invited in. Once in, if it attaches to your aura or vibration because of a weakness it can make it worse. Pray thoughout the day the way you'd talk to your best friend.

On the other hand you can also "invite" in those who are from God. It's that simple and you can ask them (they already know) to help you and go guide your thoughts as long as they're from the Creator not the imitator.

oh wow someone can see these things like I do. See I always thought that someting was wrong with my vision. But when I was talking to my grandmother who is also a pyhsic like me she said that how I see white and black blobs its the angels and demons. I wouldn't worry bout anything at all with your vision, and don't ignore this speical thing you have becuase I have and its not as good now :)

I see the same thing. You can have an eye test done to rule out physical problems. After that comes back clean it can be attributed to energy (not necessarily spirits). If it has particular colors you can look up angel lights as it is often their sign that they are with you. You can ask for other signs from angels also. I don't ususally talk about this stuff, but I found it happening to me after I began serious meditation practice and let me tell you my doubt has left the room.

I also believe that if there is a symbolic meaning to a dream the dream symbols are specific to the dreamer. But I would like to propose an additional theory about your dream. Have you heard of lucid dreaming? In theory everyone visits the astral/etheric plane when they sleep. Lucid dreaming is very similar to astral projection, but instead remaining conscious during the journey to the astral/etheric plane, you "wake up" there mid-dream.

I'm feeling that excited anticipation right now... You said: You got the feeling that "if I went I wouldn't come back..." I think that it is true. If you experienced it and knew for sure it was REAL, you can never un-know it.

I'm also wondering if the dog is the thing that keeps visiting you, because you responded to it the same way you've been responding to your visitor, right? I understand that when you can feel pressure it's because the body is close in location, see if you can find out if anyone past/present has buried a pet near by. I'm getting the impression that it is attracted to you because you create a strong loving environment. I think it needs your to love because it has low self-esteem and it can't love itself, and that is preventing it's spirit from moving on. If it comes again just love it and see what happens.

One more weird thing I have to ask... Are you a Scorpio?

The work I do involves being with and supporting people while they are in various states of emotion and making, sometimes significant changes in emotional development. Often having experienced long term exposure to emotional traumas aswell as Physical traumas(sometimes) I'm sadly all too aware of how easy it is to get confused over empathetic response... As is anyone who works in the same field... We have many differnet types of supervision to help us(as workers) seperate the confusion as far as is possible... Clinical supervision... Peer group supervision and ongoing support from colleagues as and when required... It can get quite complex... We're all human and can sometimes be affected by the onslaught of peoples lifes stories... It's at least three fold... You're feelings related to the topic... Your empathetic responses... And your own lifes current and past emotional luggage... This is why... To me... It was an interesting and very valid observation by the poster...

I'll definitely try that technique and let you know how I get on... Although I can't say when I'll get around to it... I'll see if I can drag myself of the xbox for long enough LOL !(one of the diversions I mentioned early on in another post).

What did I make of the dream?... It was... Unusual... Bit strange... Some feelings I didn't like... Feeling that if I went I wouldn't come back... Maybe I need to trust and just go with it... Heck of a gamble though... High stakes an all...lol
The most striking thing was how vivid parts of it were... I reckon if you're not careful you could almost mistake it for being awake if it weren't for the bits that don't fit with the world we're familiar with... Who knows what it was about?... Guess I might find out one day... Or not 😁...

A Ghost cat huh... Lol... I only laugh because my sister has had them too... And they drove her dogs barmy aswell... As for my bit... I've no idea... I've not actually seen anything, where as my sister her kids and visitors have all seen them...

As for the dream... Nice thinking... You may well be right... The one thing I didn't mention is the feeling of time I had... It was normal inside the room but different(faster maybe) outside... Not that I went out... Just a feeling I had... A sense of time difference...

As for any symbolism... I've believed up until this point in my life that if dreams are symbolic... It would be symbols specific to the dreamer... I.e someone may dream of a bumble bee and that may mean "Busy" to them... To me it more likely represent "Fear" or "Caution" because I have a severe allergy to the sting... I've not given any thought to what the dream may symbolise for me...

Now then... My Gran(Maternal) has been dead for some time now... I don't know if she had second sight or not... But I will ask the questions... My Gran(Paternal) died when my Dad was a child and he rarely speaks of her as he has no clear memories... I believe he didn't have a very good relationship with his step-mother(whom I believe has died also) but no mention of second sight or anything relating to this area... That doesn't mean there wasn't though...
Phew ! Ok... Now... Here's interesting... Things have been mentioned to me about an old lady around me consistantly for the last 3/4 months and the guy who mentioned it(Who tells me has this gift? He questions that it's a gift he thinks it's a pain most of the time) Also says that she's always smiling... Hmmmmmm 😊 I felt for a long time(5/6 years) that My Gran(Maternal) has been looking over me and steering me by subtle coincidences and clues... I'm not suggesting that it's my Gran you see... Or that the other guy sees... Just another co-incidence 😁... My Sister is another matter... She senses things... Always has... She has visits... And they tend to increase before someone dies... She doesn't get them all the time... She also doesn't like this "Gift"... My uncle(Dads Bro) Apparently has some sense too... He pulled my sister to one side at a funeral of another uncle and quietly said "You get them too huh... Bit wierd at first aint it" then walked off and left her, without another word... I'm asking the old lady(if it's my Gran... I'd like her to "Do something" if you see her again... So if you see her while reading this and she does something... Other than smile lol... Please let me know... I'll know if it's right...

It's funny that you mention empathetic perception of fear, because I was just thinking about that :). Does anyone else have problems distinguishing between their own emotions and emotions coming from others? I have an embarrassing story about that if anyone wants a good laugh.

The existence of an astral/ethereal plane is the only way I've been able to explain my own personal experiences. The biggest challenge I've encountered in discussing and learning about it is that there are so many different definitions for the same words. I almost feel the need to write a dictionary before I can understand and be understood. Anywho...

This is one of my favorite exercises and it will help you get in touch with your astral/etheric, or light, body. In this exercise one learns how to move their light body using their imagination. It's pretty simple:

1) Place your arms at your sides, then slowly, and purposefully abduct your arm up so that your hand is level with your shoulder. Pay attention to every feeling; your muscles contracting, the air's resistance, the movement of joints and bones.
2) Lower your arm, close your eyes, and just imagine your arm moving up to shoulder height as vividly as possible. It seems silly, but it's important to feel relaxed as well, don't force it. (I'm not getting into why, it's too long, ask if you want to know.) You will notice your arm start to tingle and expand. It's pretty neat. With practice you'll be able to manipulate other individual body parts. Once this is mastered you can build on this skill and begin astral projecting if you want.

Interesting dream BTW. What do you make of it?

Chigra... The bed thing... Probably a ghost cat, got one that hangs around my front porch... Drives the dog crazy. The dream is cool... No glass in the windows means no barriers, clouds and sky are a metaphor for the spirit world and the old friend "a dog" maybe your being offered psychic gift or insight. Are you sure your Grand mum didn't have the second sight ? I see a very happy lady with white hair and a blue dress having a laugh when I read your posts !

Do I feel threatened? Ughmmmm Not at the moment lol... Those are rare thankfully. Also I've felt scared at times but these also are rare moments. I read a reply to another story on here where the poster suggested that the feeling of being scared may sometimes be a sensitive person feeling what the spirit may be feeling. I like that idea it's a nice twist.

I Know or have read little about the etheric/astral plane and have given it even less thought... As to it's existense I wouldn't know... I feel it may be interesting to find out though... I'd like to mention here I had the stragest dream ever this morning. I had woken and then fallen back to sleep... Just a quick outline of it would be: I found myself in the room I was in, the windows had no glass and the clouds outside were going by so fast, it was like time lapse filming... The door wasn't there either... Just the same clouds zooming past... Something was drawing me out of the room... My gut said to fight it(I felt I wouldn't come back) so I fought it... I was then seeing other stuff and... I think... People... But I can't remember any details... Then I noticed by the window a brindle coloured dog... About labrador size... But very overweight and quite old... First it made me jump... Then I asked it what it was doing here and told it to go home...(end of my memory of it)... How strange? But so vivid in places...

I'm just going to start hacking through your questions:

1) You described "The biochemical/electric response generated by the body's ever changing chemical state", that is fairly equivalent to the EMF. The field is just the sum of the the electromagnetic processes active at a certain place in space/time.

2) Addressing your next question about "the veil being thin" is more difficult because we need to agree that the etheric/astral plane exists along side the physical plane. I have simple exercises to "prove" it's existence if you want to go there. But, assuming we can agree, what is happening is that you are becoming consciously aware the etheric/astral plane, so for you, the "veil" is thin or non-existent. Nothing in reality is changing, just what you are able to perceive. In that way your veil or blindfold is being removed.

3) Regarding privatizing our conversation; I only mentioned it because I felt crazy and humiliated when I began experiencing these phenomena. There are somethings I can't talk about publicly to this day. I agree that this convo might benefit other readers, excellent point.

I still don't fully understand the weight on the bed thing, that has happened to me and it scared the f*&# out of me. You are a million times braver than I was. I have been given instructions on how to erect a barrier and it has worked well for me. You mentioned that you felt (as I did) threatened in an earlier post. Are you still feeling that?

Thank you... What you posted keyed right into me... I've never seen Ghost hunters but have heard of it of course... The EMF info was interesting... Mainly because it ties in nicely with the Chi gung and acupuncture as there is a machine on the market that can read the frequency and activity of the energy we feel on active points and areas(acupuncture), what it's actually reading I'm not sure, I read that it's some bio chemical electric response generated by the bodys ever changing chemical state(I really wouldn't know... I'm not even sure if that is or isn't EMF). However another interesting link you made was the Luna one... For a long time, masters of Chi gung have said that it(Chi and it's delicate balances) is also affected by the Luna cycle.
The point about the veil being thin between different realms... Are you saying that the veil is thin around the people? Or myself? That confused me a little, because if I'm seeing "Spikes"(which by the way is a brilliant description) in their "Aura" or associated energies, it would play against the theory of it being a thinly layered veil between existences( if it suggests that's on my part)... Wouldn't it?

Ok... Onward. The "Object" was just the most recent thing... As I was discussing this at work someone reminded me of another time that I had relayed to them about some experiences I had in my last flat(apartment) Where I would have a gentle pinch on my bottom while led in bed and a damn hard slap when I told it to "sod off" I was wide awake as was my partner(Concious witness 😁) this was about 18 months/2 years ago, it only happened once but afterwards it was still around but in the top corner of the bedroom(Where the walls meet the ceiling) I couldn't see it as such... Just darkness, but I knew. I'm hoping to have the time to write a more detailed account of the things that have been happening but I started to write a list of the things I wanted to cover and realised that there were so many... It's difficult to know exactly where to start.

Oh yeah! Sorry got carried away... The bed thing... Sometimes whilst led in my bed, shortly after turning the light out and cuddling up behind my partner I feel a very light pressure on the bed(Not like a person) and it... Well... Moves... Gently and steadily( I must add here that I can't feel feet or paws... Just the same pressure) until it's right behind my curled up legs... Just like a kitten or cat might(my dog used to do this but she was much heavier)... That's about it really... It's happened 3/4 times I guess... The time before last was a bit wierd because the pressure on the quilt felt like it was coming up over me and towards our heads... I just told it "No, I don't mind you down here but not by my face" while pushing with my hand as if I were gently easing a pet to a more preferable place... Thing is I have to visible check if somethings there because we have a lot of squirrels around the cottage and sometimes they try and get in... But this is normally early morning... Thing about the countryside is the animals will quite happilly come share your home

I know exactly what you are talking about! I'm so excited to hear that someone else has had the same experiences. I've done some research, and here's what I currently understand, we are seeing spikes in the electromagnetic field (EMF). I also understand that auras occur in a different frequency/wave range. If you've ever watched Ghost Hunters, or similar programs, they walk around with EMF detectors. When the EMF meter spikes it's an indication of a spiritual presence. This sounds strange, but you might also feel a localized "minty" sensation. It feels cold, but not cold.

They are usually seen when the veil between the physical and non-physical worlds is thin (some people link it to moon phases, and seasons) and is accompanied by other strange happenings. For some people this only occurs right before death, but many others are able to reach this place naturally early in their life times.

I'm especially interested in what you had to say about the object sitting on your bed, because I've recently had the experience as well. Maybe we can exchange e-mail addresses?

It would be good to be able to offer you some advice but I'm afraid I have none... It's all reasonably new to me and seems to be getting stronger and more frequent... Although it has seemingly calmed down a little. I think this may be due to my distracting myself with other things...

I think some peoples senses are "alive" and openly responsive to other more subtle energies...
I wish you well finding ways in which you can develop and contain your sensetivity...

Firstly,thanks for the feedback 😁

I really have no idea what they were, it still happens... As recently as last friday. I don't think the description I gave was very good I'm afraid... When the lights disappear I wouldn't say they were blinding or any brighter at all... Someone told me they had been to a crystal workshop and that the woman running it described the same thing when discussing auras(Again I don't know). I also read that if your Chi gung practice is effective that you get an increase in paranormal activities/abilities... This ties in with me, as I've been doing chi gung for a couple of years now to aid my acupuncture(giving not getting)it's all very interesting and I think I'll outline some of the other stuff that happens in another story(or more). I have feelings of presence and being watched while at home... Something seems to get on the bed some nights(feels small and light, like a cat maybe). Faces appear if I Wash paper(Laying down background graphite for shading drawings) and I've seen things in my sisters house(not in a form I recognise, more a cloud like form about a half meter length and a foot wide about head height). Again, sorry to repeat myself but I really have no idea what is or has been going on for me there was a point I felt quite threatened but mostly it's quite... Natural?(strange but true lol 😁 ). This is why I was very glad to find this site, in the hope of answering some of the many questions and emotions that these experiences have brought...

i know what you are talking about but my cousin said that id you see these lights you are going to die but now that I am twelve I really am intrested to learn my proper control over making fire.

Know, I know what you are saying. I had a similar experience. After a lot of other strange things.
I was working as a GM at a restaurant. Things happen there all the time that scared some people, but I was never bothered by it. I would experience really quite straight forward things.

One night, after the bartender left the bar for a break, I was filling in, and the bar area was busy. I woman had come in with a couple of other guys. She was not drunk, and not drinking but the guys were. I saw 3 very small bright lights moving without much uniformity. When I followed them, they flashed. Almost blinding me. The other woman say it too. I kept looking for something that may have caused it. Something physical, of course. Then they reappeared again and she look at me and I at her and she asked me if I saw what she did. Yes, I said. Everyone else around the bar was busy talking, drinking. If I could explain, the lights were smaller then a small christmas light, but bright. I followed them again and they flashed again. No camera's, nothing. The other woman just looked at me, and I at her. Never could find anything about this. Does anyone have any clue?

I'm wondering if you're seeing little guardian spirits around people. This is just my speculation, but I've been reading that what we call "fairies" are actually a certain type of angelic being. Maybe these lights are actually these person's guardian spirits hovering around them.

Everyone has an energy field around them, and so it would make sense that they are respectfully a few feet away and not right on the person.
