I just wanted to note that I hear these sounds too. Actualy they tend to annoy me when trying to relax and they go in and out like loud then soft. QuantumEntanglement Mentioned Telepathic Abilities which I have:D

I can relate to everything you said 100%! (except I have not experienced telepathic gifts)
I do find myself having conversations with myself in my head~ and no I am NOT crazy either. 😜 And I am usualy ALWAYS thinking and playing out senarios in my head. I guess my brain is always ACTIVE! 😕
But I'm just a relavently "normal" mother, part time caregiver... That just happens to just realized that my thoughts have crossed over to visions and knowing facts about people in them. No biggie right? 😁

Anyhow...it's really GOOD to know there are people out there that experience the same thing as yourself. And a validation that your NOT crazy is always a good thing. I just signed up to the site yesterday and I am SO glad I did because I have already had some validating answers that I am not alone. And even though my family, friends, and kids all believe me and don't think I am crazy... They still can't really relate or understand fully what I experience.
So far I give this site an A+!

And I am still inclined to think the high pitch tones has more of a psychic nature or perhaps paranormal.

It would be interesting if there could be a study done on this!

I also hear high-pitched tones, as well as other tones at times. I thought that maybe I had tinnitus, but I am now pretty certain that I do not, based upon hearing tests.

As a child, I would creep out of bed and play, late at night, or in the wee hours of the morning. All was quiet, except for these mid-range tones that I would hear inside my head, or maybe in my ears.

I never thought much about it. But now, forty years later, I still have ringing. It is now usually high-pitched, and varies -- meaning that sometimes I hear more than one tone, and sometimes it is louder, or softer, or not noticeable at all. Sometimes, late at night, when all is quiet, I also hear a very low-pitched tone, which varies up and down, like two separate notes, kind of like this:

UmmmmmOmmmmUmmmmmmOmmmmmUmmmmmOmmmmmm... (that's my best description, sorry) :)

I mention all of this because I have become what I would call an "unwilling telepath" within the last several years.

I "communicate" with one individual, who lives over two hundred miles away. I so far communicate with ONLY this one individual, and frankly don't know how to "communicate" with any other people (so far). This has been going on for about six years. I did not ask for this to happen, nor do I particularly like it. It's like an open mike, 24/7 communication. My boyfriend doesn't even know about it. I tried to tell him a few years ago, but he just thought I was crazy, so I don't even talk about it anymore.

Anyway, lately, I have heard, or read on the internet, so much about hearing "ringing" in the ears, and about how it relates (possibly) to psychic phenomena. It's just strange, for me, because sometimes I suddenly notice it, and then realize that I have actually been hearing it for hours. I don't hear it right now. Yesterday it was very strong, with two or three separate high-pitched tones, each going on and off and/or louder and softer.

Anyway, you are not alone... I too hear these high-pitched tones.

This is my very first comment here, as I am new to this site. I will be posting something myself, soon, as I am very curious about what I have experienced and whether any others have experienced this. So far, I am alone, and have not been able to speak of my experiences with any "normal" people, because they would simply think that I am nuts! (And I am NOT nuts. In fact, I consider myself to be extremely sane, considering what has happened to me and what I am experiencing!)

Anne~ Wow that's very interesting! I never thought about concentrating on the tones to see what happened. The tones puzzle me for sure. Especialy now that I have had my own psychic awakening (clairvoyant/visions), I now wonder if relates somehow to being on the verge of another gift that I havn't tapped into? Can spirits make these tones if trying to communicate, yet we just can't "hear" them yet? It's deffinatly interesting and for me it's usualy constant to diffrent degrees of tone and volume.

Like I said to my knowledge I'm physicaly fine... Just trying to see if anyone had experiences with there psychic gifts that involved the high pitch tones:-)

I am not entirely convinced it has anything to do with gifts, though I agree on the idea that it's got something to do with energy, and the receiving thereof.

This has got me interested, and I think I'm going to try following whatever energy wave that's causing my ears to explode (a little ^^) next:D

As Anne says, you're going to get varying opinions on this. However, I find it interesting to note that many people I know well, who suffer from this high pitched tones, are also quite psychic-and have proven their skills over and over again. It seems to be something we all have in common.

However, I have been diagnosed with an inner ear disorder that causes vertigo and, according to my doctor, these high pitched tones. Perhaps it is also true that I have a medical problem causing these high pitched tones, but it is interesting to note that I am psychic, and have many experiences with OBEs, being an empath, claivoyant, clairaudient, and have had clairsentiences, clairalience, claircognizance, and clairgustance experiences. As well as remote viewing and such.

So, use your own best judgment. Don't rule out medical problems and also do not rule out a psychic awakening for yourself.

You're going to get varying opinions on this. A doctor is going to tell you that you're under stress or something else from a physical level. In their minds, what else can it be? There is energy all around us and we are energy beings. Everything vibrates at different frequencies and we pick up on that. If you had any out-of-body experiences, you'd be able to use these tones to your advantage. Some people use these tones to induce an OBE. If you concentrate solely on this tone for a full three minutes (very hard for most anyone to do), it can sometimes induce the pre projection vibrations. When I have had my own out of body experiences, I've activated my external chakras and heard an even broader spectrum of tones.

One time, and this will be hard for most people to believe, I started to leave my body and felt (on several occasions) these horrendous tones in my ear. Because we are so very much more sensitive to everything when we shed the physical shell, I just had to dig at whatever felt like it was in my ear as it was literally unbearable. Twice I pulled out a device in my etheric ear! Sounds very X-files but is this a tracking device of some sort? It wasn't a physical device, but an astral one. So far I've related these tones to: our energy body and chakras, a device in the ear for whatever reason and quite simply, the sea of energy around us that we can pick up like a radio frequency.
