Have any of you tried controlling the way you absorb or release energy from your body?
If that doesn't work how about storing and locking away your spiritual energy?

It's good to know that others have troubles with lights. I thought I was the only one.

It has sort of weirded me out before but street lights will go out when I'm walking under or near them or when driving near them. Lights also flicker around me once in a while but I never thought it was anything weird. Now that I've read your story I may start to question the flickering!

Also, my phone turns off and I can't turn it on without plugging it in, and this happens to me all the time even though my phone is relatively new and the battery is totally charged so maybe I've got what you've got (electrokinesis?).

Thank you for your story! 😁

I'm not quite sure but I think it's called electrokinesis? Anyway good luck. 😊

heh heh. I wear 'aviator's gloves' ALL winter - inside and outside. They don't cut out all the shocks, but most of them, and I can still use my hands for things that I can't with those "poofy" gloves.

I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who has this, to write down, on paper, all of the numbers in your cellphone.;) I used to have some 'heated' arguments with a girlfriend over the phone. Burned up two phones. They just stopped working. Lost all my numbers.: (

I tend to get nasty shocks in the winter, and very bad static-y hair lol. Yeah the flickering drives me crazy and I think I've only burned one light out before by accident...

My cellphone tends to lose battery fast too...

wow! I always wrote this off as coincidence when it happened to me. If I'm walking accross a parking lot or on the sidewalk at night, I consciously avoid looking at the street lights because they often go out when I look at them. And my friends think I'm some kind of bulb fanatic because I keep multiple spare bulbs for everything. Right now, two of the three lights in my ceiling fan are out and one of the fog lights is out on my car. I've changed every light on the car about 6 or 7 times in the 4 years I've owned it. Maybe they just burn out that fast...

For the longest time, I couldn't get very close to a computer, cash register, or anything like that because it would stop working properly. This always seemed to take place and peak during stressful times in my life as well.

October, do you and those of you that experience these "electronic disturbances" notice that you have a LOT more static electricity? I do and it was fun when I was in school because I was the only one that could make a visible blue arc just by scuffing my feet on the carpet and touching the doorhandle. It hurt and the kids, of course, started saying I was a weirdo, so I stopped. Now, I wear gloves a lot, especially in the winter, and I am very careful when plugging/unplugging stuff.

My theory is, that people like us - our bodies are like antennas and we can send and receive and some can even change channels. Anyway, I think the receiving part is how I can feel other people's emotions so well. I think receiving is what most of us do most of the time, but sometimes, when under stress for instance, we transmit and it's sort of like a small EMP (electromagnetic pulse) except it's not a pulse, it's continuous. We take out lights, electronics, watches, etc. I think it probably makes other people 'edgey' around us and animals definitely seem to sense it.

October, I would say focus on how you deal with stress. If you're like me, you probably worry a lot too.;) try to find ways to deal with these negative feeling better. No easy task, I know, but I think it will diminish the flickering. On the flip side, the flickering would drive me CRAZY! When a light does start flickering around you, take those negative feelings and feed them and see if you can get them into a frenzy and maybe the light will just go ahead and burn out.:P you'll probably laugh to yourself if you try that and it works, which will be good for you too.

Thanks for sharing your story. I'm glad there's so many cool people out there!

Hmm I was looking for more info on this too, so I hope there is an answer somewhere for this. Or maybe a way to control it, so you don't have to worry?

I started researching this topic because a friend recomended it to me... Not this site, just looking into the subject. This kind of thing happens to me all the time... Not just lights turning off but anything electrical... I've blocked wireless internet from surrounding areas, drained computer and cellphone batteries at my touching them and instantly, when I leave or discontinue my contact with the object, it's power comes back... I don't remember when it started but it's getting stronger. I don't know what's going on and admittedly, I'm worried.

I do this too! Five light bulbs have burned out in my house... All in the same day! Weird huh? But I disagree about draining the energy. I would say that its just your presence.

Hmm I haven't really thought of the idea of draining/attracting energy from a light bulb- it's a really intriguing theory though.
I was under a lot of stress freshman year... Maybe I unknowingly began to take excess energy from lights? 😲

October - amazing. I also have an odd effect on lighting. Mostly flourescent bulbs but light bulbs of any type do not last that long around me. I seem to attract energy or maybe drain it. I don't really know. Maybe I should look at finding out what is going on!
