Am I Seeing Auras?

I am fourteen years old and I am an Empath. I know this already and have expanded my abilities with that. But I need help with something involving auras. But before I say what I need help with, I would like to say that I am able to see energy in the air and am working on that too.

I have been researching on how to see auras and have been practicing. Now, I know that in the beginning of trying to see an aura there is a sort of a white-ish vapor like thing surrounding the person before the actual color starts to form, (I'm sorry I don't really know how to describe it otherwise), but what I see next is that it gets kind of bigger and almost colorful. Almost. Sometimes I think I'm imagining the color, other times I think the background of where I'm looking at something is influencing what I'm seeing. Or maybe the color of peoples shirts and other things that they are wearing are making me see something entirely different. But mainly I can't seem to get past the white-ish sort of light. I don't actually think I'm seeing the aura of a person. But I don't actually have to put a lot of effort into seeing the white beginning to the aura. All I have to do is relax myself and look. So am I seeing auras? Or is my mind playing tricks?

Another thing: Can inanimate objects have auras too? Because if not than I might just be imagining some sort of a light reflecting off of objects.

I'll take any comments helping me. If you have any questions please ask. I really need help with this. Also, if anyone has any other tips on how to see auras I will be entirely grateful.

Thank you.

The white vapor you sense is most likely the outline of
Someone's aura. As such can contain a lot of information
Such as, is the person focused or "out to lunch", or are they relaxed or tense.

That actually did help me.
I think I can do that too, because sometimes I can look at someone and I can just "tell" what their color would be.
But I want to be sure that I'm right, that's why I want to actually see their aura.
But you did help me, thank you!

I can try to help but I don't usually visually see auras, I feel them or sense them. Meaning I just know a person is a certain colour and if I allow myself to go into that, I see various colours, energy movement within the person.

In a very heightened state, ie sometimes after meditation, I see whitish glow around trees and plants but that's the most "visual" anything gets for me.

Try focussing on the person in terms of sensing them with your whole self rather than visually trying to see something. It can just come to you. By the way there are people who visually see auras and people who feel them and some who can do both.

I've never had the experience of a whitish glow around someone before feeling their aura (when I see it, it's in my mind's eye, not through vision).

People just "are" certain colours even down to textures and movement or shining bright or constriction of aura. It's confusing sometimes, no idea what it means sometimes unless you get to know the person and then it starts to make sense.

Not sure if that helped at all...
Hope it did a bit.
Good luck

Yes, inanimate objects do have auras. In fact they are easier for most people to see the aura of it because, a) the object doesn't move, making it easier to stare at it for along time. B) they usually have less of an aura then a person. An object will usually have only one color under the white color, (but there are exceptions). But a person has many different colors under the white color. I do think you are seeing auras and I hope what I said here helps.
