My Medium Experiences

I have lived in many houses and I'd have to say more were haunted than not. I wasn't brought up with a religion but experience has made it hard for me not to believe in an afterlife. My first really memorable 'ghost experience' would have been in my early teens. I don't know if it has anything to do with why I can detect spiritual beings or not but a year or two before I started detecting spirits I was part of a Native American 'power circle' ceremony. (The one you form a enclosed circle of rocks with a fire in the middle, a red rock, yellow rock, black rock, and white rock all across from each other so every 90 degrees there is a coloured rock and you all breathe in sweet grass smoke and listen to the chant as part of initiation or whatever).

The first spirit I was aware of was ironically in the first mobile we lived in (my sister said the place in BC was haunted too but I don't remember detecting anything there) if I was laying in bed or doing something quiet, or no one else was home and there wasn't a lot of noise I could often hear footsteps in the hall and doors opening and closing.

My second 'psychic experience' was in our second mobile, once again I'd hear footsteps and doors; but with this one I also often felt I was being watched, and (this is hard to explain so you may not understand) that he / she was an evil presence; like he / she would like to do me harm; I did not like being alone in that house and even went as far as asking to not be left alone there (I was in my mid teens by that point).

The next 'haunting' I'll tell you about stands out from all the others it wasn't in a place I lived for starters. We used to have a friend who lived next to a very bad fortune teller; it seemed he was great at summing spirits but not so good at putting them to rest. We were driving our friend back to his place and I happened to be looking out my window as we passed the 'fortune tellers' staring back at me from in the porch was such concentrated evil the only word I can use to describe it is demon. There was a man (spirit) in a plaid shirt with a kind of black haze around his face staring at me and in the spit second the feeling cut right threw me and deep into my soul that he wanted us DEAD we stayed at our friend's place for probably an hour before deciding to go outside and have a campfire.

We weren't outside 10 minutes before we ominously agreed to go back in. We stayed until daylight the next morning all awake cowering inside still feeling watched; as if something were going to burst through the covered windows at us discussing the dark, suffocating, watchful, ill-intent feeling we were all engulfed in when we were outside. That was almost a year ago and the memory still wets my eyes it was so terrifying.

The next place I lived in had three spirits all friendly. One of a pet we occasional saw as a running blur for a moment in the corner of the eye. One young boy (late teens I'd say) I saw clear as day sitting at the table with my boyfriend as he did homework (I'd later asked if he had a friend over and he didn't know what I was talking about) And the third I never saw but I could feel the presence of an older lady attached to the property that for some reason just hadn't moved on.

Which brings us to the last place we've lived I can feel that same creepy ill intent watchful vibe, more so in some parts of the house than others, in particularly in our bathroom and the dining room. My landlord has a piano she never plays and I quite enjoy the piano and figured I'd play it one day. I went over and started to set everything up I didn't even get as far as uncovering the keys before the eerie feeling intensified and I sincerely felt that if I didn't leave the piano alone I was going to be quite severally hurt. I also don't like being alone in this house and often don't leave my room when I am.

I don't like talking about these things because people think I'm crazy. It's easy to dismiss such things as a bounce of light, or 'your imagination', but I seriously think I detect dead people, and it's unsettling and the watchful ill-intent feeling is downright scary! I don't want to get into the whole medium thing because I'm scared of angering a demon or something somehow and having them come after me.

If anyone knows anything about anything like this or has experience like this feel free to contact me I'd love to talk! These haunting I listed span from 13ish to 20ish, if anyone's curious.

This has nothing to do with psychic stuff, but funny. I love funny. Been storing boxes in the attic and driving teens all day. Finally got everyone where they needed to be. I drove through the KFC window. The man said, Welcome to Taco Bell. Then he gasped. I said, Thanks, can I have two chicken tacos. Silence. So I gave my real order. At the pay window he wouldn't look at me. About my age. Forties. I apologized for the chicken tacos thing. He nodded and still didn't look at me. Didn't start laughing until I drove off.

Colt - I don't meditate, not officially. Have always talked to God. Sometimes officially, like the prayer thing. Sometimes just chatter stuff when I'm doing things. Hope he has a sense of humor. Sometimes my humor is a little dry. I've not been struck mute or by lightening yet though - a good sign. Perhaps that is my meditation.

Colt - nearly choked when I read your post... I always tried not doing things to fit in. Have never meditated or anything. Lately have started being more curious, now that the kids are more settled. But, I think we all have the same stuff. Some are just more aware of their stuff and can listen and see closer. This was a tense situation so it was very obvious.

Colt - Thanks for the advice. I'm not sure where I stand with the whole jeasus thing. But I know I don't want to mess with the 'other side'. How do you figure it would 'change my whole life for the better' if I let it? (I am quite happy with my life; and even beyond demonic possession, and spitaul endangerment - I trust my gut instinct that getting involved would only be bad.

Curious what your experiance has been, and why you think so confinantly of what you do.

Hi JC I just wanted to let you know that the gift you posses is great and powerful, if you know how to use it correctly it could change your whole life for the better. Another reason I am really on here is you shouldn't be scared or terrified of them, they don't have any power over you. Remeber you have the power threw Jesus to overcome them. I had a lot of experience has a little kid and teenager threw my younger adult life. I can say I enjoy the paranormal so much, its like I can't get enough. I believe we are all here for a reason, that every moment in our lives happen for a bigger purpose in your indiviual life. Good luck and thanks for your interesting stories.

Edmund and Holli - I really missed jabbering with you both today. You've talked me through some interesting situations the past few weeks and hope you continue. Right now there are some things I need to work on and fix. And the past few weeks have been so interesting with my own experiences (selfishness and short sightedness are some of those things that needs fixing) that I've put off my friends. Realized it today when I drove out to visit and noticed a good friend looked stress. She was. About all I could do was nod and mumble, but guess that's better than nothing. Talk to you later!

JC - this sounded so vague that I'm going to try and explain again. When 19 was suppose to catch a bus early. Well, all morning it felt like I was going in slow motion, walking through jelly stuff or water. I was late. My boss type person was angry and yelling and people around were yelling. I heard them and saw their lips moving, but it sounded blurry, going through the jelly like stuff. Wondered what it was. Felt like a bubble around me. Nothing bothered me. The yelling seemed far away. Well, had to get on the bus last for being late. The first ones on the bus had to load in bleachers when the bus ride was over, from the top down. They weren't locked right and folded and people were badly hurt. I felt bad for them when I heard about it. I realize this bubble/jelly/water stuff, maybe energy, is always around, like a wall. Just sometimes it seems thicker, especially around danger.

Perhaps it's this layer that makes us want our personal space and why it's uncomfortable when we're crowded and people are in our personal space. We feel more vulnerable.

JC sensing spirits has always felt a little creepy to me. I try not to do it, at least not ones that seem unfriendly. Took me awhile to realize it, but I keep a barrier around myself in a sense. It's mental/spiritual I guess. I block things I don't like, sometimes even people. I was 19 when I actually realized it and understood that it had been there a long time but that I hadn't really thought about it before. It's like a bubble. Perhaps like the ozone layer, we all have one but some of us just have a thicker one and some keep theirs thin to let sounds and sights pass. That's how it feels to me. Try enforcing yours and ignore the stuff you don't like. Eventually it will happen.

Pink another thing about a lucid dream is that you will tend to rate them. I use to like the funny ones when little and want to remember them and tell myself too when I woke up. Some just seemed really dumb. Some seemed scary. I remember wondering if they meant nuclear stuff would happen because there was always a lot of wind. The other night was dreaming and thought my dream was silly and a little boring.

JC want to answer your experience but my son told me he needs the computer. One in the house with internet. This isn't my best area anyway. Have seen a few spirits and felt a few but filter them out mostly. Trying to figure it all out myself mostly. Edmund and Holli are good resources and have helped me.

Pink - I'm not sure, but it seems like in regular dreams they are just images. In "real" dreams they seem real - you feel them. You feel the wind. You feel your arms aching. You feel real sadness and wake up with tears. In mine, sometimes there has been a somebody with me that I've asked questions to and gotten answers only part of the time. Actually might have met them recently in an odd dream, voyaging. Didn't ask.

JC... Great story and you are right if you are psychic and see ghosts and saw a demon the very last thing that you want to do or be is a medium. Demons just don't go away it takes a serious effort of a lot of spiritual /religious people just to get them to budge and it is never a pretty sight. But it is nice to have your ability when it comes to choosing real estate ! I find that most people just don't want to believe in even the possibility of ghosts/spirits. 😁
