Met A Ghost In My Dream

So I had this dream last night that has left me really creeped out. I had a dream I was staying in a hotel and I would always look up to see a guy standing in the closet just staring at me. His face was so clear to me, though I have never seen him before. He started walking towards me and I got so scared was against the headboard sitting on the bed and curled up begging him not to hurt me or touch me. But he introduced himself, I can't quite remember his name I know it started with a J... I think John or Jared or something with a J and we started talking but the conversation is a blur I just remember his face so clear. I actually really liked his personality he was a kind guy and it sort of left me wondering if he was actually real. And I know for a fact he was dead in the dream. I read some websites saying it could mean that either I'm in trouble or that he's trying to get to know me to haunt me or something. Or maybe just wanted someone to talk to? Anyways it's just left me in a really strange mood today and I have a weird feeling and can't stop thinking about it. I've had dreams about seeing ghosts before but this one was different, sort of like the one I had about my Grampa who died. He told me he was okay and smiled and walked away and I woke up with Goosebumps. Anyway, anyone care to help me figure out what the dream means? I'm curious. I want to know if maybe he is a real spirit trying to talk to me but not going to lie I'm a little creeped out of seeing him in my closet watching me sleep. Someone please talk to me about this I would appreciate it.
