Visions of Scenes that Aren't There

I have had experiences with the paranormal world for as long as I can remember. I would have to say that my earliest memory is from when I was 4 years old. We were moving from one apartment to another and we went to look at the house that we ended up renting. I remember walking through the house and as we walked past one of the rooms I looked in and there was a woman sitting on the bed crying and there was a man in the room who was yelling at her. He walked over and slammed the door shut.

We ended up renting that apartment and when we were moving in I kept saying I wanted that room for my bedroom. Well when we got to the rental... It was a closet not a bedroom. And I mean a small closet.

Recently I had another similar experience when my husband was in the hospital getting a cortisone shot for his bad back. He was lying in bed and I was looking past the curtain to the room across the hall. I sat and watched as they wheeled a man on a gurney into the room and transferred him into the bed and then watched the doctor come in and examine him and then watched the nurse check on his fluid levels in the IV. My husband started talking to me and I turned to look at him. When I turned back I was looking at a solid wall with cabinets on it. There were no patient room across the hall.

I have had so many experiences my whole life that I can't possibly write about then all in this story. These experiences however I find odd. I don't understand them and would like to reach out to others who have experienced the same thing and compare or if someone understands why this happens and what it's about even better.

Glenda, I used to wake up because I felt like my body just slammed back down onto my bed. I mean my physical body literally bounced into the air. I never knew what the heck that was. It happened more often when I was little, not so much anymore. I think the last time was a year ago. How does one know if they are projecting? I mean with my ability to "see" into people, my prophetic dreams, and feeling (sometimes seeing) spirits, could I possibly have any more gifts?! LOL! What happens when you project, and what kind of "dreams" do you have when you do? I have never had the experience of looking down at my sleeping body... But I just thought of something. I remember when I was younger, I used to do things around the house in my dreams. Like say for example, once my mother told me to vacuum the carpet. I laid down for a nap, and I remember vividly going through the house vacuuming. I actually woke up thinking I had done it. I don't know if that is something or not. What should I be looking for?

GlendaSC... I'm not supposed to have great gifts I'm just a psychic handyman of sorts. I enjoy teaching as well as learning. But I do honestly know where I fit in I maybe an old soul but I am also a happy soul been here many times and I rather enjoy it for the most part !

Holli - my guess, and I might be very wrong, is that you astral voyage but don't remember a lot, if at all. When young, I had dreams about strong winds and once gripped a pole fighting it. I thought maybe it was a nuclear incident because I heard about the wind in them. Watched the news. Then I remembered a few bits and pieces of odd dreams. I was in my thirties before it all came together and was clear and I knew it was flying. Later heard the term astral projection and voyage which has been helpful. Knowledge is power; just wanted to tell you that.

Holli and Edmund - ty for your responses. I always understand more when you write. Almost didn't come here anymore and just lived life in the "physical" realm. Little weird when I try to do that, but works some. Holli - I understood your uncle immediately. It does seem to get stronger with age, not that I'm old...(haha!) Maybe I just notice it more, but it does seem clearer. As you age, it will happen to you also. It does seem to me hereditary, or maybe it just takes an old soul to communicate with one. Edmund - I think you have always wondered where you fit in with the psychic thing. I think you throw out the possibilities and make people think and figure it out. They know, but you put it in writing so they have to think. A guide of sorts. Teaching is good; my bet is you did it in the military. I've never needed to "see" ghosts of ancestors or pets, though knew they cared and have seen them a few times in dreams. I'm very independent natured. I bypass a lot of stuff in regular life so it feels pretty natural to me. I felt old when I was young if that makes any sense. Think my parents thought the same. At 14 or 15, my brother is 5 1/2 years older and at 21 he had a wreck in the summer when I was out of school, my parents woke me in the middle of night to leave town and see how he was. My dad threw down car keys (no license but could drive) and a hand full of cash and told me to watch my sister. She is 10 years younger. They would be home, hopefully, in a week and call me when they could. Any problems, I was to phone my uncle. I just nodded and tried to wake up. Didn't seem a big deal, except for worry about my brother. He was fine later. Now, I have one that age, and others who have been that age, and realize that was pretty odd. I don't think they ever thought I was young either.

I just found out from my uncle, who NEVER talks about the supernatural, that he experiences OBE quite often. He says it's being going on since he was little. I just came out of the blue and asked him if he had any abilites, and I was suprised that he was honest about it with me. My mother (his sister) also admited that it had happened to her once. The only reason he mentioned it is because he says "things" have been increasing, but he wouldn't elaborate. I have been wondering for a while whether or not paranormal behavior ran in our family. The only other person that I know is off the charts with several abilities, is my aunt (my mother's sister). I asked her about others in the family, but she told me what I kind of already figured. People in those days employed a "Don't ask, don't tell" policy, so if there were, the secret died with them.

GlendaSC... Well yes it is a nice place and that's the fly in the ointment you might decide to stay and miss the lessons that you came here to learn. But I know that this sounds crazy but one day when your really old and ready to go you will already know the way ! 😁

TY for responding. Read it awhile ago, but thinking it over never hurts. Went through the tunnel. Won't go into gory detail, but late twenties then. Slept. A strong wind blew me through a tunnel and I was sitting but nothing was underneath, which I found odd. Had my head ducked, the tunnel was so low. Scary, thought I would bump and it was so fast. The next level was a little easier. Went through seven or eight levels and each one, the wind was less intense and the opening was wider. The last was almost pleasant. Then there was the opening, but a door or something blocked it. Wanted to go in, curious and felt it was good. Then a male's voice, I'm a female, said, "You can't go in there. You just had a daughter who needs you..." Well I knew that, and was very ashamed. Then I woke up. Seconds later a nurse came in, and to my shock, said my tests were back and I need transfused. Told the husband about a week later about the tunnel. Told everyone else maybe a lot later (year o my sister) if at all. Astral projection is wind to me. Reminds me of that time. I don't know if I almost went, no one around me. I bled mostly in the shower alone. Crazy to allow me a shower alone, I guess with all my stitches, but my doc did mostly what I told him. He was the husband's age. They were good friends. You might be right. I think you see things. I hope you like it. I'm about to decide that I don't. Stopped it years ago and may again except emergencies. Life is here and now and I'm good at it honestly. I don't know if I want this. I haven't voyaged since. It did feel almost "too good..." I wanted to stay.

GlendaSC... Maybe just maybe you got to what I would call the recieving area of heaven... Usually under normal circumstances when you die you go through the tunnel its the first place you see there is usually your relatives there to greet you maybe a old pet... Nice light music etc. But it is shaped by your perceptions, religion, a whole host of things its a little different for everyone but there is always a unifying theme to it all.

I guess its possible to circumnavigate around the tunnel by a Astral projection experience and plop into the recieving room and just get a feel for the place... Remember you didn't die and were not expected so no dead relatives, pets etc. Kind of going to a reception hall a day after the wedding... 😲

Edmund - since you are the record keeper of sorts, let me ask you about a recent voyage. Went far up, not unusual, to a place that was empty. Except there were stars, but the stars flashed and were faces. Scared me a little but it felt like a good place even with the faces. I hope not to offend you addressing you directly, but told the husband and he looked puzzled. You seem more like just a trusted friend who has some record of these events. Any ideas? It was the most pleasant place I have been. There was singing in the background, but the words were too far away. I liked it there - very peaceful. Very.

hjbmissy... There could have been a remodel job at the house but probably your picking up on the strongest event that happened in the general vicinity. Or the strongest event in the general vicinity is being projected to you is another way of saying it I guess. 😁
