A Demon

I was 8 years old. The family and I were in the living room watching television. From where I sat I was able to look directly into the dining room and a patch of the kitchen wall. The stairs were off of the kitchen where our dog, (Patsie),would lay on the steps where they turned to go upstairs and were wider for that reason. Patsie came running into the living room just a whining and terrified and dove behind the couch. Gave everyone a scare. I looked out and on the patch of kitchen wall there was a large shadow coming into the dining room. Because it was a shadow on the wall from the kitchen light centered in the room I cannot positively say how large it was but will never forget the shape. Very muscular shoulders. It's head had pointed ears and no hair visible in the shadow. I sensed and saw in my mind what it looked like. It resembles something similar to some statue and stone carvings I have seen in the Mayan culture. I was angry because it scared my dog, and I ran at it. It ran without sound and went up the stairs where I also saw a scaly tail going round the corner. After this for the next 10 years I was haunted by voices, banging, other visions during the night. I would hear it in the attic making noise, (hitting the ceiling when I was alone). One time it did it with a friend there as we jumped up and down on the bed we hit the ceiling. It hit back. My friend hit it and it did it again. I hit it twice and it hit back twice. I always wished we had stored stuff in the attic and I could have blamed something bouncing as we hit the ceiling but there was no floor in the attic and there was only a hatch door as an entrance. My sister thinking by shoving me through the opening of the attic showing me there was nothing to be afraid of was a bad idea. I felt the sense of raw anger and evil as it came very quickly at me and knew it wanted to harm me in some way. It was like a blurry ball of energy or something of different colors that came at me. It was all I could do to get out of the way of it and with some kicking and screaming I pushed down through the hatch door and it stopped. My sister to this day doesn't believe what I saw. The last time I felt it's presence was hunting with a lifelong friend at 18 years of age and something came over me and it was like standing outside my body watching the gun raise and aim at the back of my friends head. It took all my will and then some to stop it. I became ill and soaked with sweat and had to sit. That was my last encounter. I never heard my name called out in the night ever again nor ever felt that feeling when it was around. I had this feeling come over me as if I had won something and I just felt light as if something heavy had been lifted off of me. No. Lol I never did tell my friend what was going on behind him that day and the only thing he saw was how ill and flushed I was sitting there against a tree. The size and strength of this thing is hard to describe but it was terrifying. I just want to know why it came into my life and what was it.
