Psychic vs Spiritual vs Ghost Experiences

I have had all of the above and have since I was a little girl (I'm nearly 40 now). I have prayed, meditated, and gifts have been stronger or weaker as different points in my life. I now believe the difference is how we 'accept' them. I believe we are all spirit beings and EVERYONE has these "gifts". People have been taught to fear and ignore them and so we chalk these up as "experiences." This site even categorizes them. I found this site looking for more information on understanding and expressing my abilities with more awareness vs just random unexplained phenomenon. I love that there is a place where people can talk about it so thank you for developing this site. This is the first time I've expressed this belief so publicly. The first time I shared knowledge of my gifts with a loved one was as a teen when my mother and I saw the same thing. I did a double glance of a 'shadow' following my father out of the house and she asked me if I saw that. There was just a relief of letting it all out. I'd been seeing and experience my whole life and I told her everything at that point. She said it runs in our family and I don't need to feel weird about it. To this day my family and I share many "experiences" just for fun and entertainment. None of us seem to control our gifts but the gifts seem to be more pronounced when we need them or need to help someone else or each other. I'm convinced if every aware person began to sharing their different gifts with each other, for each other the gifts would be stronger in everyone in the group. It's like a human body that needs different parts to function; people strong in different gifts need to come together for more. (for lack of a better word) control. So, to you keep looking the answers always come. You will be drawn to those you need so be open and ready. For sake of the rules of this forum I'll share one psychic experience (they happen small too even in everyday mundane things we take for granted). I think I was about twelve pre-teen or so. I was taking a nap and I could smell my mom cooking. In my dream she called to me and said go find your sisters and brothers and tell them dinner's ready. I slowly get up and I could hear her still calling me as I came down the stairs. So I go outside and start asking the neighborhoods kids where my siblings were. They said my brother was on his bike near the corner. I watched him jump a ramp and shoot towards the street out of control on his bike the same time a bus was coming. He crossed without looking and he got hit by the bus and I screamed and woke up very scared. I woke up and I could smell the food and got up to go see what my mom was cooking. When I got to top of the stairs, I heard my mom calling me the same way she was calling me in my dream. Instantly, I knew my dream was happening so I starting running down the stairs and out the door towards the corner screaming my brother's name. I could see him on his bike and he looked up at me instead of crossing the street. The bus went by. He rode his bike over and I said Mom said come and eat and we went home. ~Love and Light
