Meeting my Silent Guardian

I was sleeping soundly one night almost eight years ago, in 1999, when something woke me. I opened my eyes, checked the clock, 4:21, and lay there, trying to discern what had happened, the neighbor's dog, a car door, a kid in the bathroom? I wasn't living in the best neighborhood at the time, if something woke you up, you found out what it was. Jesse lay beside me, sleeping just as hard as I had been, we'd stayed up late.

The shadows in the bedroom were different. I got the scare of a lifetime when I saw the man standing at the end of the bed. I didn't think to scream or wake Jesse, I knew I didn't have anything within reach that qualified as a weapon and he was closer to the bedroom door than I was. I stared, too scared to move unless it set him off somehow.

As far as physical description went, he had very long, straight hair, dark brown or black, I couldn't tell, long face, dark eyebrows and I think, dark eyes, a blanket or cloak wrapped around his shoulders. We stared at each other and after a few moments I got the very distinct impression that I was being an idiot and he wasn't there to hurt anybody. He nodded his head once, I understood the message he was trying to convey. "Pay attention, go and see, no harm will come..."

He looked up, out the window to the north and then I woke up. It was 7:22, the alarm was going to go off in a few minutes. I was fully rested, awake and ready to start my day.

I took the time to write down the whole thing before I went to work, I've dreamed and meditated since that night and sometimes I get the impression that my silent guardian is keeping watch, never talking, never offering an opinion or a hint as to what I'm supposed to be looking for.

Annoying as that is, I don't mind his presence but I'd really like to know more about him or about similar experiences.

Hi my name is Dexter Brock I've been reading all of you guys stories and I've had this power or curse since I was 8 but that came after I started hearing things whispers that started when I was 5. Not the good whispers either the ones that tell you to kill your self and others. I'm not happy with whatever this is I never told anyone about his to afraid to say anything because oh what people might say. I don't know what both of these curses are called but I know that its not going away. All of my dream are coming true its not just a few it all of them sometimes I don't dream about anything I guess that makes me different then you guys are my curse isn't as strong I don't know why this happen to me or why I do this. My dream are slighty different then the stories I read on here it doesn't come true in 2 or 3 days its either a week to 2 or 3 years I know you might not believe me but that how mine works i'm scared because of that I see the good things in my life and he worst things but no one diying yet so that's good.

I seen when my son was born a 3 years because I had him or before I even meet my girlfriend

I seen in my dream of me and my brothers having fun one day a week before it happen

Its not always the big thing in my life that I can see in my dreams. Please if anyone know how anyone or anything that can help me stop dreaming and shop hear voices contact me please

Hello, MerrisHawk.
I have been around for a while, but to be honest, you are the first person I have even thought of making a comment to.
I am not really sure why.
I have a few "Guardians". They seem to work in a variety of capacities, and they DO seem to work well with one another. I DO have one that fits the same description as the one you have written this experience about.
Not physically, but his demeanor is the same.
It is MY impression that he is allowing me to use my own free will to "screw up" if I need it (in order to learn a lesson), or to accept a compliment if it is warranted (I am NOT very good at taking them).
Or to simply BE.
He is a shoulder to cry on. A "voice" (though silent) to laugh with. And a companion when there is no one else around.
It CAN BE unnerving. And it CAN be comforting. It just depends on your perception at the time.
Thank you.

Now that I thought about it, I do remember years ago, many, late teens or early twenties, mid twenties? Anyway, taking a tour of a ship and being shown the gadgets. I'm not into gadgets. I was bored with all the explanations. Life was pretty fun really a t that time. It felt an odd dream, too real, and I just said, Who cares, not me. But I have memories. They were bright like, energy.

This made me curious enough to look it up. I think a voyage involves a vessel. A trip is from one place to another. So far, I've never seen a vessel - maybe once, long, long ago. It bored me though.

Martin - in case you want to know this - I have heard "trips" and "traveling" but not voyages. Since I'm a word person, thought you might want to know. That's their terminology. I really should look it up in case there is a difference.

Since I last wrote, have made trips (astral voyages) and saw them. So far 3. One woman and 2 men and none I recognize. Once I saw, a guy, on a voyage, but I don't think that I was suppose to see him. I kind of crashed in... More careful now. Anyway, I never do anything to earn brownie points that I know of - perhaps it genetics.

nice! I'm happy you seem to have a very protective and caring guardian. Sometimes, I wish mine would shut up more often. They can get so loud! Yes guys, I'm talking to the annoying voices in my head that ou know you are.

Hi I understand what you have gone through it happens to me alot. The one's I see are always silent not saying anything at all. They are friendly and do not harm so don't be scared. I would like to have some answers off them. People say they talk but mine only talk when there in another room or in my dreams. I saw a teenage boy the one from my past life he came to visit me I guess he just wanted to know If I'm doing ok with my new life. Spirit guides can be people from your past life's or loved one's. I've seen shadows of doors, boxes and that. Is that the kind of shadows you saw before you saw that ghost/spirit? Once before I saw that teenage boy from my past life the air was blurry I just ignored it and thought I was imagining it when looking in the mirror next thing I turn round and see a teenage boy standing in the bath. 😐

Meris - life is so busy we do tend to get lost in it. The grind takes its toll. You had a special experience I think. They don't happen often.

I like the idea of brownie points, but I'm dense enough about my personal space that I probably needed the wake up call because I hadn't been paying attention to anything but the everyday grind. I wouldn't mind seeing him again, to get a better look but all I've come across since then is impressions, dreams, and that feeling you get when someone hovers over your shoulder.

Maybe there is something more to say if you are new. Read the experiences of others. Knowledge is good and there are some very strong people here.

I think, personally, you did something to earn brownie points. In all my years, almost 49, 2 days away, never saw my guardian. I've been close though; I am jealous. Been in three totaled vehicles, the first when 10, and I knew it was going to happen, and still didn't "see" anyone. I've never seen anyone. Heard them. I've seen "sleep" visons, very clear, but never awake ones though I sensed them. You are very lucky and blessed. There's nothing else to say...
