Ever since I was little, I've been absolutely terrified of being alone, because I was always afraid of something watching me. Whenever I moved, it would follow me, no matter how fast I tried to evade it. It was even a factor in my nightmares, but when I was asleep it got aggressive. As I grew older, I discarded this fear, because I thought it was just my imagination.
Just recently, I've started to experience that same feeling that I've been being watched. The difference now is that I know exactly where it's coming from. The nightmares have returned, as well. Nowadays, since I stay up nearly all night every night, I've been in my room more. I'm positive something stands at the foot of my bed and watches me, just like it does in my dreams. A few days ago, I was talking to my friend online, and she told me she's seen the creature that watches me. She showed me a picture she had previously drawn of the creature (I hadn't described it to her at all), and to my amazement, it was EXACTLY what I've been seeing in my dreams. Ever since that night, I've been being tormented worse and worse by this thing, and sometimes the effects are physical (bruises, cuts, etc.) Two days ago, it started becoming less shy and timid; I've been hearing footsteps leading from the attic to the foot of my bed. I also found a sticky note on my bed, with the words "NOT HERE" scribbled onto it. I have no idea what it means, or what this creature wants from me.
I'm afraid of this creature, and sometimes when I see it, it isn't alone. Can anyone explain this to me?
