My Best Friend Claims To See Dead People

Basically, my best friend just revealed to me that she's been hallucinating and seeing 'dead' people in her room and has done most of her life. She is 20 years old and says she had an imaginary friend when she was little and she has forever felt a burning sensation in the back of her and the feeling of being watched. She told me last week she saw a young boy standing at the end of the room. She then told me a day after that she woke up frozen from her sleep with a tall black figure staring at her, however she could not move for a while, she shut her eyes and he was still there. This happens with most of the people she sees. However she then feels relaxed and goes back to sleep. She suffers from sleep insomnia and at the most can get about 3hrs sleep a night. She says a few things a week will happen to her like this. She has heard her name being called out, yet no one there. She also told me she always hears this ticking noise when it is completely silent. She tells me shes not scared as she is used to this happening to her. I said have you tried communicating with them and she said no. She said as a kid she always knew things that other people didn't know, for example, her dad lost his car keys when she was 6 and she somehow knew they were in the bin, she claims her 'friend' told her. There is so much I need to write, as I know so much now and I am so worried about her. She thinks she may have bi-polar, which I disagree to. She also says her dreams are always about this same old woman that grabs her wrists and drags her around. She said she is always there in her dreams. I am worried because she has recently been having a troubled relationship which I am currently helping her with, and I know that he has led to her high stress levels which I feel have been the main cause of her hallucinations. However, I cannot help but feel that these aren't in her head and in fact that she can see these 'spirits'. I am very confused but I know my friend isn't crazy and there must be a logical explanation. I have told her next time these happen, which will probably be tonight to ask them why they are here, and why do they want her help. If they do not answer than she should banish them from her room. I can't help but feel I have seen the same thing in the recent horror films, in which she stated she had not seen. Can anyone please help or provide me with a solution. Thank you for your time.
