First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who both submits and comments on this site. Your stories and advice have been truly inspirational and helpful.
That said, I would like to share my most recent experience. This just happened the night of Thursday the 21st of July, 2011.
While at work, I scheduled a meeting to drive to a spot in Grand Rapids (where I spent 90% of my life) to check out a software upgrade in action. It had an address on 29th street, which I'm quite familiar with, though I had never heard of this place before. I did not look into the address any further at work, but scheduled the meeting anyway.
Thursday night, I realized I didn't know exactly where on 29th I'd be going. So I thought to myself this would be a perfect opportunity to see if I could dream of where it would be located (trying to get my psychic dreams back in action, as they've been rather dormant lately). So basically, before I went to sleep, I just thought to myself "where am I going tomorrow?" and fell asleep, not actually thinking it would work, but giving it a go anyway.
Despite my doubt, I did have a dream about it. In my dream, I went to Google maps, and typed in the address. It brought up the address, but it was showing it was on a strip of 29th street that I didn't know existed. And, on the map where it shows the street, the actual pin point location was way off the street, as if it were in the middle of nowhere. In my dream it was on the far west end of 29th street, which I knew couldn't be possible, because there are car dealers and stores there. So thinking I just had a screwy dream, I woke up not thinking much of it.
Friday at work, we found our trip had been cancelled by the man we were going to meet, so I thought even less of it. Then, when I had some free time later, I figured I'd check to see where it was, in case we do reschedule.
I was most surprised to see my dream was almost entirely correct. There was a strip of 29th street I didn't know existed. Then, the pin point of the location was off the street, appearing to be in the middle of nowhere. The only difference was this strip of 29th was on the far east side of 29th street, not the far west side. It was like a mirror image of my dream.
I was happy to see this, because I took this as a sign. I think, with some discipline, and focus, it is possible to try to harness the psychic tendencies inside of us. I'm even more motivated now than I was before to study and practice this further.
Thank you for reading!
On a different note, I just realized something interesting. I had never heard of Edgar Cayce until this site. So I was looking into him and watching the videos that this site posted. Apparently, to learn a book, he used to put the book under his pillow and he'd learn it in his sleep. Well, all my life growing up, particularly when I was in Elementary to High school, my mother would tell me to ready for a test I should put the homework or notes under my pillow.
Now my mother's side of the family has a history of psychics, and my mother is a believer in these abilities. She always told me to work on my dreams and to focus on harnessing the ability to see things and such. What I wonder, is how they came up with the idea to put something under the pillow. How is it both Edgar Cayce and my family knew to do this?
I am going to have to consult my mother next time I see her on this interesting coincidence. ❤
