Before I say anything, I want to share my views on the supernatural. I am more inclined to believe experiences are paranormal, though I am strict with myself and try to rationalize everything. I also believe everyone has some amount of psychic ability, even if it's small.
Mostly, I just kind of know things. It's a mix of knowing things that are going to happen and things that are happening. It's almost never about anything important. Just stuff like thinking of someone then seeing them and other small instances like that.
I also dream about things before or while they're happening. I'll be dreaming and there will be something that stands out about the dream. Most of the dream is completely irrelevant except for that one part. Once I dreamed that my sister was driving and then a jumped on her car and told her she was going the wrong way. I woke up and told my dad about it. My dad told me that she had called him earlier asking for directions. In that case, my sister being lost was the part that stood and the guy was irrelevant. When I was younger I dreamed that I would be assigned Saturn to study for a planet and the next morning I found out that I was assigned Saturn. I also dreamed that my bus would be the last bus to be in line in the afternoon when school ended and it was. There are more, but I won't bore you with every story.
I also think I might have a psychic bond with my dad. We were at our vacation house and I was having a dream that I was asleep in my room at my regular house on my couch with the lights and tv on. In my dream, I woke up when my mom came into the room and then fell back asleep. I mentioned the dream to my dad and he said that he fall asleep on the couch in our family room with the lights and tv on and woke up when my mom walked into the room. Throughout the day we joked about how we were channeling each other. My dad also said that when he woke up, he had a brief thought about me, though he couldn't remember what the thought was. We decided to try channeling again the next night. I told him to think of me during whatever dream he had (it seems that I can only receive when the person is thinking of me) and then went to bed. That night I didn't have any special dream, which disappointed me when I woke up. I laid in my bed a few seconds before opening my eyes. When I did open my eyes, I saw a huge spider with a bright circle of light around it. I stared at it for a few seconds before realizing two things. One: I didn't have any windows in my room. Two: I didn't have any other source of light in my room. I glanced around my room and didn't find the light source. When I looked back to where the spider was and it was gone. I laid there confused for a few seconds before getting up. I walked upstairs to the kitchen where my family was and asked which one of them channeled spiders. I told them what I saw and of course my dad had a dream about spiders. In his dream, he saw his sister lying in a trunk with bugs and spiders crawling all over her. One thing that stood out to him was that the trunk light was brighter than a normal trunk light. Another time I thought I heard my dad call my name when I woke up, but it kind of sounded like a whisper. I went upstairs and asked if he called my names. He told me that he hadn't, but had thought about calling me up to get breakfast.
That's another thing, too, whispers. Occasionally, but not often, I will hear people whisper things when they aren't actually speaking. Besides the incident with my dad, I haven't confirmed any of these whispers to be real. I only ever hear one word, though. Like I heard a kid whisper my name when he didn't actually say anything. No, I didn't have a crush on this kid, I only talk to him in that one class. I can't always distinguish what the whispers are saying and I don't hear them very often.
There is one more thing I would like to mention. For as long as I can remember, I have suffered from sleep paralysis. It slowed down considerably in the past few years and it hasn't occurred for a long time now. Each time the dream is the same. A man made of shadows walks into my room and up to my bed. I always wake myself up after that. The fear becomes too much at that point. I have read that people describe him wearing a fedora, but I've never seen him with one. I've had dreams about him since a very young age. My dad told me that I always talked about "shadow man" when I was a kid. He had trouble at first understanding me because I had a huge lisp when I was younger. Even when he figured out what I was saying, he couldn't really understand what I was trying to tell him about shadow man. I can't remember what I was trying to tell him because it was so long ago. I want to know what other people who have suffered sleep paralysis think about this shadow man. Do you think he's real? I know sleep paralysis is explained by science, but I have a hard time believing he's just a figment of my imagination.
Thanks for reading this, if you did. I just feel like I needed to write about this. I'd like to hear your thoughts on everything. P.S. I think I'm more receptive to these things when my mind is relaxed.
For me, that mainly involves prayer and spiritual sheilding by generating positive energy inside of me and sending it outwards. When I do this, it physically feels like a lot of static electricity surrounding by body. The emotion I generate during this sheilding technique feels like a mix of courage/inner strength and love.
The feeling is somewhat different than the feeling I get from just sending positvie energy outwards during meditation.
