I am starting to show signs of being an empath, but it gets annoying to feel my dad emotions because they practically jump at me and I feel every bit of it. Especially when my baby sister gets annoying because I feel the same way he does so it does nothing but amplify my emotions when that happens. And at school I'll feel drained and I can sometimes feel my friends emotions. I need to find a way to control it so I don't feel it when I don't want to. And I am worried because my other abilities seem to be going away I haven't seen heard or felt a spirit in for ever. I still know things sometimes and sometimes get really lucky I like to say. I'll be walking and duck and then something will zoom an inch from my head and hit somebody else. So those abilities are still there. But I enjoyed the ghosts sometimes. So please help me. Why do I feel so drained at school? And how can I keep my abilities up and going and improve them so I can use them to the fullest? And what can I do from feeling emotions when I don't want to? I'm only a 15 year old guy, and am still getting used to having abilities so any help is appreciated. I also like to know if there is any websites that will help me more with my abilities.

you breath in and out, and try to feel the flow of energy around you. As you breath in draw it into yourself, and as you breath out try to let it fade. That usually helps me when I'm at work and surrounded by all kinds of nasty energies.
your abilities are going to change and adapt to your own internal needs. I don't think I've ever been sensitive to spirits, but if you want to maintain that connection then just keep yourself open to it, it will probably come back, or you'll at least stay sensitive to it.
just keep in mind, that only you can determine what techniques and practices are best suited for your sensitivities. You'll be okay.
Don't get me wrong, protection is something all empaths much do, but it's not going to protect you all the time.
I would suggest purification methods to cleanse all negative energies sticking and traveling around your aura.
More importantly, I suggest you learn how to sort out emotions. Locate the source of the unknown emotion, then focus mainly on yours. This another way of not going crazy or getting to overwhelmed or blocking them out.
Grounding techniques help a lot... I suggest you LEARN HOW TO GROUND YOURSELF FIRST before you even start or go deep into shielding techniques.
More things that can help calm you down are:
Nature, animals, music, any form of art, exercising and so forth.

You can look random sites up on the internet for answers, but going with your instinct is much better and more accurate.
You'd be surprised if you knew exactly how much knowledge you truly have.
Anyways, I was wondering why I felt so drained at school sometimes, and why I get random headaches, turns out, it's been physcic attacks or something, and a way to defend yourself, is to imagine a white / yellow light around you (your positive energy) and invision it blocking out all other energies. I tried it - WORKS LIKE A CHARM! And as for improving them - meditate.
lie down in a quite room, arms at your sides, legs straight on the ground, eyes closed, and take 3 deep breaths. Concentrate on the noises out side of the room. Then concentrate on noises inside the room. Then concentrate on what you can hear inside yourself (eg a heartbeat). If you get tired, tilt you chin down to your body.
