Who Or What Is James?

As you have probably read from Birdzgoboom's story, A Wolf Spirit, and A Hooded Horseman, she mentions two other people. One was with her, while the other happened to drive by at the time she saw the light in the sky. I was that person in the car. While I was unaware of what was happening to her and our other friend, I was having my own strange occurrence. To this day, I am still scarred by the memory.

Now, before I start the story of what happened on my end, I must tell you about my protector. Ever since I can remember, I always had a spirit following me. My family thought it was just an imaginary friend so they thought nothing of it, but it was much more. After I moved to this area, I thought he would go away but he didn't. He was with me everyday, even the days that my mother had traded me off to another family. He stayed with me and soon I could do more than feel him. I could see, hear, and speak to him. He called himself "James" and said he was sent to protect me. I didn't know what that meant but I let him do as he wished, and I mean that literally. None the less, he did as he said and protected me.

Now to what happened that day. Just a quick note: I had no knowledge of where Birdzgoboom was that day, since she did not have a cell phone at that time.

It was a weekend, and since that was the only time I could see my mother, we were out just running errands. About 6:17 PM we were headed home. The road we decided to take just happened to go by the place where Birdzgoboom was at the time right when she saw the white figure darting across the sky. As she saw it, I did as well. I was still wearing my dark sunglasses at this time, but the light was bright enough that I noticed it right away. I kept quiet but kept a note of it.

About five minutes later, I arrived at my house, and went straight into my room. Normally when I go out with my mother for errands, "James" would just stay in my room. I entered my room and noticed that James wasn't there.

I closed my door to change, and I had just gotten my shirt off when I noticed a presence in my room. I turned to where I felt the presence and there was a man standing there, cloaked in black and green. He disappeared and I was violently thrown back onto the ground.

When I hit the ground, something had pressure on me so I couldn't get up. Then I heard a voice. "Where is he. Where is the one I am after. Where is that killer." The voice was angry while demanding these things. I blacked out and the next thing I knew, my grandmother was crying and mother was screaming at me. Apparently, the man had taken over me, went and yelled at my grandmother and got into a fist fight with my mother, which ended with me getting hit into a wall and a plate shattering on my head.

When I was alone, I demanded to know why the spirit ruined my life. He explained that he was after someone, to get payback for the pain that was inflicted upon him. It may sound strange to let a dark spirit into your body and let him stay there, but I felt more safe with him then I did with "James."

That night I went to bed about 11 PM. I never really had dreams or nightmares. When I did, they normally predicted the future. I only told Birdzgoboom a section of what happened in this nightmare. The nightmare took place in my band class, but it seemed so real that I thought I was actually there. We would be playing a song then we'd have our five minute break between songs. I was the only flutist in the band for my year so I would talk to my best friend at that time, who was a clarinet player.

After our five minute break, the teacher told us what song to play next and began to conduct when everything stopped. I watched as a black figure rose up from the ground. It was fairly big, about 6'3" and in a black feathered cloak with a hood covering all but his jaw. His eyes could be seen through the darkness and were a bright gem red. Then he spoke, in a voice that still makes chills run down my spine.

"You have become too attached. Yet you do not know his true nature. He will be sent to Oblivion. He will die and disappear there. He is not allowed a trial for the crimes he has committed. You WILL lose him." The figure said as he grabbed my head and dropped me. I fell and fell before finally waking up and looking at the clock. It was 11:07 PM. I quickly got up and wrote everything down.

The next day Birdzgoboom called me right when she got home and told me most of her story. I was astonished. I had a vague idea of what the horsemen were, but the fact that me and her saw the white object, and that all three of us had a similar dream... It was just strange...

A few days after this, the dark man was still residing in me, "James" never came back. I asked the dark man what happened to him, and he told me the truth. "James" was not his name, he wasn't there to protect me, and he was using me as protection from the dark man. Now the dark man is still with me today, he doesn't protect me but uses me to make sure that Birdzgoboom is under enough protection. That part, he will not tell me why.
