David Booth from Cincinnati, Ohio had a series of premonition dreams of a DC-10 American Airliner jet crashing days before that fatal crash in May 1979. I too had a waking vision, a death omen, and a premonition dream all concerning the same ill-fated jet liner. I had a friend who would have been on that flight out of Chicago from which no one survived had I not warned him.
It all began when I drove my friend to LAX airport to pick up his round trip ticket to Chicago. It was a nice day in Los Angeles as we pulled into the parking lot across from American Airlines. As we were coming back out of the terminal and walking across the street to the parking lot, I had an ominous feeling as if I were in danger and wheeled around. At that moment in a waking vision I saw this huge tail of an AA DC-10 jet sitting on the tarmac fall over and on top of me! I was transfixed to the spot staring wide-eyed at the plane with my mouth open in shock as I flinched. My friend Dan asked me what was wrong and why I looked like I had just seen a ghost. I told him it was something bad to do with that jetliner, but didn't know exactly what it meant. It was upsetting at the time but I shrugged it off and drove him back to his apt.
Later that evening I picked him up to go out for something to eat. It was getting on towards 10 pm when we returned and Dan asked me in for a cup of coffee before I left. As we went into his 7th floor apartment in Hollywood, he had three French-style windows open with no screens and no curtains that hinged in the middle of the window and turned on a vertical rods sideways. As he walked toward these windows and looked out into the night lights a sparrow suddenly flew in and startled him as it circled his head and flew up and lit on a curtain rod. Again I had that same shocked look as I did earlier that afternoon at the airport. A bird in the house has always been a death omen in our family. This time I said..."Dan...that's a death omen! You've been marked for death and it's got something to do with that American Airliner at the airport today!" I finished my coffee and left for my hotel apartment even more disturbed by what I had experienced that day.
That night in a premonition, time-travel dream into the future, I saw what the warnings were all about. In the dream I was briefly in the lobby watching people board that doomed plane, then suddenly I was way up above the runway watching the American Airliner DC-10 taxi for takeoff. As it roared down the runway and rapidly climbed to where I was observing it in the sky, the left engine suddenly ripped off its mounts and hurled itself over top of the wing ripping circuits, hydraulic lines and metal in its wake. The plane immediately rolled sideways to the left and that huge tail with AA on it went through me in the sky just as it had done on the ground at LAX. I saw the plane plummet sideways to the ground, as it impacted and slid up under a bridge exploding in a fireball. I was jolted awake in the night knowing that my friend was a dead man if he boarded that plane. There were no survivors!
The next day I warned him not to be on that return flight. He was going to cancel the whole flight and was afraid to fly from LAX to Chicago. I said..."Dan, it's not the one going to Chicago you need to worry about, it's the one coming back. DON'T be on it!" He went on to Chicago a few days later, visited with his family for about a week and called me from Chicago asking if I still felt the same way. I was vehement in my warnings! He changed his plans and lived to tell the story. He's still living in Hollywood, California to this day. His name is on the passenger list as well as the record of him changing flights!
David Booth wasn't the only one who had a premonition of the worst air crash in U.S. History at the time!
