I have always had bad dreams. Everyone does, right? Well mine are different. I have dreams, predictions, while I sleep. The first one that ever happened was when I was about 7. It was of a man. He was old and had a wide grin that seemed vaguely familiar. He mouthed the words big poppy. I was confused because my grandfather, pop pop, had just died the year before so I wondered if this guy was telling me of my grandfather or something. The next day I was running through the living room and I stopped in my tracks when I saw a new picture on the shelf. It was the man! I grabbed the photo and ran to my mom to ask her about it. She said "Oh! That was big poppy. He died when I was about your age. There was big poppy and then there was little pop pop. I can't believe I'd never told you about big poppy." I stared at the man in the photo and realized that the familiar smile was pop pop's! After that they progressed quickly. Then the dreams started happening during the day. I would see an image or a quick vision of a prediction. My friends thought I was crazy when I would be in the middle of a sentence and then just drift off.
Often these visions were of someone getting hurt or something else bad happening. Unfortunately, these visions were not as correct as some of my others. Maybe its because unlike my dreams, my visions can change depending on what choices I make. I once had a vision of a car crash that would send me and my new driver brother swerving off the road down a hill and flipping the car over. I recognized the road immediately, It was a road less than a mile away from home. I turned to my brother and begged him to be careful of the ice on the road. He just laughed when I told him what I saw and didn't believe me. I noticed him slowing down when he got to the road though. Suddenly a deer went flying by a few feet in front of our car and my brother was about to swerve to avoid but instead just stomped on the break. We went forward about a foot more and then stopped dead in front of the deer. The deer continued to run across the road and my brother was staring at me. Then the real dreams started coming.
I dream of natural disasters and things that are unpredictable. I once had a dream of a tornado. Two days later, a tornado touched down in Atlanta which almost never happens to Atlanta. I once dreamt of a flood. Five days later, the first flood that happened in decades flooded my county and it closed the schools. There are many more dreams I can talk about, but I think I only dream about disasters and a few small predictions during the day.
