I've been doing a lot of reading on psychic mediums and the paranormal lately and I am very interested in it. I posted a couple of my empath experiences last month--my sadness and feeling of something being wrong the day my cousin was hit with a baseball bat, and the time I felt I HAD to call my father, who I had not spoken to in years, again because I felt something was wrong, and found out his mother has passed away that day.
Now that I have become more aware of my senses and possible abilities new experiences are arising. I have my "spot" where I sit in my living room. Lately, I have been catching quick scents of things only when I sit in that one spot. The smells come and go quickly. Once I smelled oil or grease, like someone was working on a car. Another time I smelled cigarette smoke. It is my understanding that smells can be associated with psychic medium experiences. To accompany those smells I have drempt quite a lot of my deceased father. The reason I associate these two things is because my father was a smoker and he often worked on his motorcycles in the garage.
Upon catching these scents on more than one occasion I decided to pose the question out loud, "Dad? Are you here with me right now?" I received no response in any sort of way, but the smell immediately went away.
My father and I had a strained relationship when he was alive. But now with the smells and the dreams in which he is always smiling at me, well, I like to think he is telling me that he is happy and our rocky past is forgotten.
I'm not asking for dream interpretation by any means. It just seems to me the association of the two is too hard to ignore.
Are these real psychic connections or are my senses on overload? I appreciate the input.
