My father died an unexpected death in March of 2005. About one or two years after his death I began seeing black shadows with his silhouette in the place he was most when he was alive; the basement. The shadows would be in the same spot every time they appeared and would stay there for about five seconds at a time. This happened five to seven times.
One year after, what I believe to be my father visiting, first appeared, a friend and I went to another friend's house where I saw another shadow. We were joking around and were going inside when I looked to the right side of his house and I saw a figure turn that corner. They were already inside so I quickly went after it. I turned the corner and it was gone.
I and two other friends have witnessed these shadows since and have been keeping a close eye when they appear. In June of this year, 2009, at the first friend's house at around three in the morning, we saw what looked like an arm reach out towards the handle area on her front door. We heard the lock on her door being messed with as the arm's hand touched that area. One second later the sound stopped and the arm disappeared. I found out later that someone died in the house prior to my friend's family's move in.
My second friend is seeing these shadows outside her house almost every night. She says that she has seen them inside too; also, that they seem evil. A couple of weeks after she mentioned this to me I decided to do some research and came upon shadow ghosts. These ghosts are often referred to as demons which I believe in this case they are.
We all are afraid to be in a pitch black room because of what might be in there with us.
I am wondering if what we have is a gift or not and if it has a name. I would like to know what exactly it is that we are seeing. Please leave a comment if you have any idea that could help me and my friends.
