I have been having strange visions while awake, mostly at night before I go to sleep, but some in the middle of the day. These visions are images of people, but not regular normal everyday people, these are strange. The first one happened while I was lying in bed trying to get to sleep. I saw an old woman, crone-like with long stringy white hair leaning over me. I didn't "see" it with my eyes, because my eyes were closed, but it was as vivid as if she were standing right in front of me. I opened my eyes, and no one was there.
The next night I saw a long hallway stretching out in front of me, slanting upward. The hallway was completely black with no door or windows at all. At the end of the hallway a door opened and there was a young man dressed in black and white with hair that stuck out all over who looked like he had just happened to be walking by the end of the hallway when the door opened. He looked at me for a moment and then started down the hallway towards me. I did not get a good feeling from him. I opened my eyes and was back in bed.
Since then I have seen a little girl dressed in rags and a man who had purple skin with strange characters carved into his face. His eyes were very green, his nose looked like it had been partially cut off. When I saw him it was in extreme close-up, almost as if we were looking eye to eye with only an inch or so separating us. All of these images have happened while I was getting ready to fall asleep.
But I am now also seeing some of these images during the day while doing normal everyday things. I was sitting at my desk working last week when I heard a song on my radio that was very relaxing. I turned around on my chair and started to sway to the music with my eyes closed for a moment. And in that instant, I saw a woman who was mirroring my dance. She was very pale and was covered with white feathers. I am not sure if she was wearing clothing made from feathers or if she was actually growing them from her skin. When she looked up at me I got a little freaked out and snapped myself back to reality.
I also have seen pretty frequently for the past few years large fantastic plants growing all over my bedroom walls when I wake up - it only lasts for a second or two before they disappear. Sometimes they are huge leaves, sometimes flowers, and sometimes vines. Sometimes it changes from plants to other objects - numbers and symbols floating along the wall, or even at one point statues of the Virgin Mary and lit candles lined up all over the walls and ceiling. When these started I just thought I was dreaming, but now that I am having these visions of people who seem to interact with me, I am beginning to wonder.
I don't know exactly what I am seeing. I do see spirits while I am awake and with my eyes open, but this is entirely different. These spirits I see when I am awake are solid and I know they are definitely a part of the environment around me. The spirits or ghosts that I see almost daily often ignore me, going about their own business and only rarely take an interest in me personally. All of the people/creatures in these images/visions I am having seem VERY interested in me. These images/visions seem to be giving me a glimpse into somewhere I am not supposed to be, or maybe they are trying to watch me. In any case, it is a bit disconcerting.
Does anyone know what is happening to me? Are these some sort of waking dreams, or am I starting to hallucinate? Who are these people, and should I be concerned? I try very hard to keep anything with a negative energy out of my house because I have a small daughter, but these things seem to be very forceful. Any help would be appreciated.
