Near Death Experience In My Sleep?

First off let me say I am a strong believer in God so if you are of different religion and you may take offense to this you do not have to read.

Okay. To start with this happened several months ago. Towards the end of summer. I had recently returned from a Christian camp so my faith in God was really strong during this time.

So I had stayed up really late on this particular night and didn't fall asleep until sometime around 3:00a.m. In my dream I am slowly floating upwards toward this golden light which as a Christian I believe was God. I could not see a face, just a bright light directly above me. I was laying on my back and floating upwards like when you go underwater and lay on you back and slowly float to the surface. Everything else around me was white except for a few blue lights floating upwards with me. The only way I can describe them is like little blue balls of fire. I assume these are other people.

Then a strong, compassionate, and definitely male voice spoke to me. Not from any particular direction, it seemed to come from everywhere at once. "Come here, Zack." I eagerly agreed as this place was warm and comforting and I was happier than I've ever been.

Then seemingly out of nowhere, as if a hand had grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me downward I slowly descending back down. I felt extremely sad at being forced to leave the comfort of this warm, happy place and the comfort of God Himself.

Then I eventually reached my body again. I didn't awake then as I usually do whenever a dream ends. I continued to sleep for a long while after that and it was the best sleep I've ever had.

If anyone else has had an experience like this and has any idea whether it was actually a dream or if I actually almost joined God in Heaven I would really appreciate it if they could share it with me.

Why do some people when they die and they don't see a light and lose hearing and awareness while others see a light and are aware is it possible that people forgot they died?

I just had one last night. I google near death experience in sleep. I was stumped by the experience. It felt amazing but I did not let the whole experience follow through cause I felt like my body was going travel out of me. So I purposedly woke myself up. In my dream I had died by a explosion from a plane falling from the sky and then all I remember was a white light and love surround me and I was saying for some reason "I love you God!" I felt like my actually body was lifting upwards towards this magnificent white light but then I got nervous amd purposedly woke up. Afterwards, I was upset at myself that I did not go through the whole experience.: (

lonemeerkat I know what you are telling about the ringing sound in the head because I sometimes hear it and whenever it happens dream that I am in united states of america because I can see the statue of liberty very clearly but I think I am floating in the air when that happened which I think I am flying. After that I visited the north pole and south pole. I also experienced astral projection because I remember flying above the atlantic ocean myself. I remember it very clear. I also visited the titanic ship under the ocean. I am always asleep whenever I astral project. It is a great experience because I always had an ambition to fly like an eagle soaring above the sky😁

if you want to conciesly astral project, first you need to be very relaxed. Like for me, I prefer to lay in my bed with maybe a small light on, and nothing else on. Just as long as it is completly silent, with no distractions whatsoever. If you listen very closely, you will hear a very high pitched ringing-type sound. That noise comes from your brain. If you can focus on that for like 3 or 4 minutes without losing focus, youll start to feel waves overcome you. Let them come, and try not to even acknowledge them, then slowly will yourself out of your body. That's how I try to do it, it may or may not work for others.

hi.
It's seems not a bad experience at all, if compared to some of my NDE experiences in sleep:

1. Ghost / monster / evil haunting dreams. I had been experiencing this almost every night for nearly 10 years. The situation of dreams were almost the same, whereby all human being killed by that. My tasks were to fight with "that", and could only wake up after won the battle and save the human. Sometimes, you could even known of your tasks at the beginning of the dreams, and just waited for "that".

2. I got some water phobia and still do not known swimming until now. I fell scared when have to close the eyes under the shower. During a nap, I experienced dragged down to the bottom of deep sea. The surrounding were dark, and the water came in all over into my mouths, nose, eyes, etc, and felt the pressure and couldnot breath at all. I got to really fight very hard just to wake up.

3. I was wake up by some noice. Something blow the air near my ear. And then could feel the hand/palm pressing my throat strongly, almost couldnot breath, until my mom was coming in my bedroom to take something. I couldnot call her and could only raise the left hand. And in minutes, the "things" gone.

4. Etc

Have been gone through of more than thousand of the similiar dreams, and never ever allowed to loose in any dreams.

Your Sub-C, of course:D Remember this; The Consciousness and the Sub-Consciousness are two separate things. They are never the same. The Sub-C reveals who you truly are.

I would try but I'm not really sure how.

I *somewhat* agree with what you say. My only argument with it is; Who spoke to me?

No offense, but I never heard that 3 AM was the time of the devil. I thought it was near midnight? Also, if you wish to see during your astral projection just simply "will" it to happen. [at] Seer_of_shadow: I'm not sure if it's possible to visit heaven astrally. It might be, I'm not sure. It could be that you manifested this image of heaven, however the reason why you were pulled back is because your sub-C believes that you cannot arrive in heaven until you're dead. Your Sub-C sensed that you were still living, possibly explaining the effect of being "pulled back". This is just from a *somewhat* correct more scientific view. Have you tried astral projection in a more alert, conscious state?

Yeah I know what you mean about being followed. I constantly have that feeling when my parents are gone and I'm home alone.

As for the 3 o'clock that is just my estimate of the time I went to bed. This incident could've happened a little before or after. I'm not sure

At 3? That's really scarry. Ghost hunters say it's the prime time of night for them to get apparitions and EMPs. Supposedly, and I'm not sure if I'm right on this, 3 AM is the opposite time Jesus died on the cross. I'm very scarred of this time and am always in bed at least an hour before. Once, it was about 20 minute until 3 and I kept getting this feeling like someone was following me.

Sounds like you had a ABE. I had one when I was 19. My brother died in a car accident 2 weeks later. I had the same experience. I levitated and floated almost all night. I had no control over my spirit. I was afraid. There were no other beings. It was total blackness. Finally my spririt went into my body. I was scared and frightened. I have never had it happen again and its been over 18 years.

It wasn't exactly at 3. That was just an estimate of the time that I had layed down to go to sleep. I have no idea what time I actually fell asleep or when this occured.

Hi, I am a christian too. Anyway I think you experienced astral projection like what rarebreed had said. But I am a bit scared because you had done it at exactly 3 o clock in the morning which is the devil's hour. You must be very careful on astral projecting. You know evil can interfere your body and soul. I suggest before you sleep, always pray to god for your safety. Good day 😲

Hey.

And no I do not mind what religion you are. It felt like I was lying on my back underwater floating upwards. My whole body felt fuzzy. Like a cotton ball, for lack of a better comparison. If it is astral projection I would actually be excited as I have been wanting to learn how to do that but lack the needed knowledge.

As for the scenery it was all white with a giant golden ball of light above me. There were also electric blue lights floating upwards with me.

Hi!

I'm glad that you shared this with us.

I would consider myself a Christian Mystic because I believe that Jesus is a shaman, a guiding light, and teacher for all of us. Conversely, I find correlation between many religions and so I do not ascribe to any one specifically. I hope this is okay with you.

Out of body experiences are one of my specialties. You did not have a near death experience in your sleep. You did, however, have your first experience with astral projections and the out of body experience.

Do you remember at all how your body felt when this first began? What about when it ended?

I actually had a very similar experience not too long ago in which I floated through a large unshapely door of light and saw Jesus as a huge ball of light in the middle of a jungle/tropical place that I assumed was heaven.

Coming back to my body was also a similar experience to yours.

If you would like to analyze your situation with me, let me know, we could work it through together and see whether this is a feat of astral projection or a touch of the near death experience.
