After looking around this site I would like to share and wouldn't mind a bit of input. After years of having strange dreams and day visions amongst other things of the sort I mentioned something to my mother about one of the things that I had happen to me regarding hearing voices. To my surprise she said "Welcome to the family". I asked what and she said that I must have inherited the "gift". She said that her sisters called it "The gift and the curse." She told me that all of her family had been seeing and hearing ghosts and voices forever and had the gift of seeing the future. She asked me what was some of the things that had happened to me.
I started by telling her the story of the voice that I had heard telling me to tell the lady at work that everything was going to be alright and finding out afterwards that her granddaughter went through brain surgery.
Then I told her about the time that a friend that lived with me was having leg cramps in the middle of the night, was keeping me up moaning so I went into his room and asked what the problem was, he said he had bad leg cramps and couldn't sleep, I told him neither can I and said here let me help and touched his leg, he jumped back and said what did you do? I said what? He said as soon as you touched my leg it stopped hurting. I said I didn't know and went back to bed not to be bothered for the rest of the night.
Then I told her about the man that came in when I was working alone, he was wearing mid-eastern type clothing and a turbin type wrap on his head which is a bit out of the ordinary for the Tampa, FL area, he proceeded to "read" me and tell me all about what I can do. He had me pretty shook up. I followed him out the door by about six feet. When I looked to see where he went he had disappeared! At the same time someone was coming towards me, I asked them if they saw where that guy went and they said what guy? I said the guy that walked out just before me and they said they saw me but didn't see anyone else.
A friend and I had went to a psychic to be read and they read her but said that I was blocking them from reading me much and that all they could tell was that I had a very old soul and had lived many previous lives and that my spirit was too strong for them. I believe this to be true because I have been places that I have never been and seem to know my way around without getting lost.
My mother said that sometimes stronger spirits can look real like they are actually right in front of you true to life. I have always had the feeling that something is watching over me. I would like to get to know how to utilize my gifts. I am really just getting into it and find all of the stories that I have read very interesting.
My mother gave me a box of my old school stuff from years ago and I found a recommendation letter to my parents for me to see a psychotherapist for some issues they thought I had. I asked my mom about it and she said that as a child that I had a lot of "imaginary" friends that I took with me everywhere and talked with them a lot. She said that it was really nothing but the teachers thought I had psychological issues that needed to be addressed.
I don't remember having any imaginary friends but I do remember having a "string" that was attached to me that people would get tangled into if they weren't careful. Also, I remember having a lot of holes in my wall where I had hit the wall in my sleep and punched knuckle sized holes in the wall. It got so bad that my dad would tuck me in really tight and make sure that my hands were under the blankets so I couldn't do it.
I am sure that someone could shed a little light on how to better deal with what is happening and how to make it work better for me. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
