Something Enters My Body While Sleeping

I live in Texas and I wanted to share with you my story. When I am sleeping at night, I experience a trance like feeling. I know I am asleep, but also awake. I feel something always enter my body. It feels like almost a spirit from somewhere. It immobilizes me so that I can not move nor speak. I try to wake my husband who sleeps right next to me but he doesn't hear me or see me move.

This feeling last about 2 minutes and then leaves. When I wake up, my heart is racing. Sometimes I can see a person by me looking down on me in transparent form, standing by my bed. It touches me like a pat like feeling and I cannot move, then when the form knows I am awake, they leave. I have experienced this at least once or twice a month for three months. It is rather upsetting to me.

I also lay in my bed when I take a nap, during the day or a night and on the blanket it feels as if a cat pranced on me or is walking by my head, but when I look, nothing is there. Many times I feel my blanket move but when I look, nothing is there. I have not experienced this before, this just recently started. It is a person I just recently met. An image of a man. I have read many stories about this and I wanted to share mine with you. My nights have been sleepless, and I loose track of time.

Holy shiat! I experienced the same thing today... Exactly the same thing. I felt someone coming fast and I expected the door to be forced in, but that didn't happen. I felt the person inside the room and at the time I had covered my head with a blanket. I wanted to uncover my head to see what it was but I couldn't.i was completely immobile. I tried to call the name Jesus Christ but I couldn't. Then I felt something like a cat beside my head on the back. Then it vanished. Wow... This was the second time when I experienced this but this time it was more real and I could even hear noises and I had ringing sound in my head the entire time

Sleep paralysis my ass! Sleep paralysis doesn't make your bed shake it doesn't make it feel like somethings getting on your bed. If it's sleep paralysis why does it only happen at my girlfriends house never ever anywhere else. Why does it only happen when I sleep at night I work midnight so I sleep during the day and it never happens then. If it's sleep paralysis why can I feel a presents in the room? I can feel something pulling either my leg or arm. It only stops when I start praying in my mind cause obviously I'm paralyzed and can't speak aloud. I don't give a shiat what anyone says it's something and it ain't paralysis. I'm no hocus pocus kind of guy and if you don't believe its something supernatural then there's something wrong with you. I believe it cause I know I'm not crazy and I seen it heard and felt clear as day.

hey...there is nothing entering your body, there are no ghosts or anything your seeing... This is a sleep paralysis disorder. When we are in REM sleep- the stage where we are dreaming, the body becomes paralysed- the brain sends a message to your musscles to stop them from working which is a protectionist mechanism to stop you from harming yourself by acting out your dreams. But if your brain does not manage to send the message to your muscles to activate their movement again before you wake up then you wake up paralysed- so you are between being awake and dreaming- which is why you can't move, can see your surroundings but also hullucinate things around you or touching you e.t.c. People usually get this when they are anxious about something. I have had it quite a few times, the first time I was terrified, I saw a hand moving towards my face but I could't move or scream, the second time a creepy man walking past my bed. Then I found out that there is a scientific explanation to it- so now when I get them I am not so scared, I just wait for it to be over... I try not to talk or scream as this causes a sensation of sufforcating.

Well I hope this makes you feel better!

Maybe we can try to manipulate ourselves into hullucinating pleasant things next time? That would be cool...:-)

its sleep paralysis. Its usually from negative energy or spirits. If your stressed that can have a lot do with it. Pray for god to shine his holy white light upon you and to protect you and thank him for it every night before you go to bed. Take care of any stressful things in your life and get rid of any negativity or issues.

YVE - the husband thing is funny. Mine travels with work a lot. I give him "forcasts." If I look away and tell him to take a good book or have work with him to fill the time, he knows. If I'm cheerful and say have fun and an easy, good flight, he's happy. This last time, he even thanked me. That was a little funny. I don't make those decisions, just repeat what I feel or whatever. Anyway, he's been on planes for over two weeks and having an easy time. So I wasn't wrong. Being wrong isn't my favorite thing so I'm glad for him and for myself.

YVE - I don't understand it either, but I think you should just listen. You'll know in the end. Your posts seem really intuitive. I say that to only a few on the internet, because the net feels a little icky to me. Every thing is balance though, in a way. Know that you have to have security and a place to live and food to eat. Be yourself, but be yourself in survival mode.

Glenda...thanks😊. I guess I'm at the point of my life where I HAVE TO make sense of everything that's happening with me. I am always analyzing my dreams and always trying to figure out what category they fall into. My husband will whine about me doing it, but as soon as he has a dream he can't understand he'll come running to me. Its funny. πŸ˜†

I've been contemplating getting an associate degree in metaphysical studies. When I did my numerology chart the subjects of metaphysics, spirituality, teaching, and nurturing others on a grander scale keep appearing. How & what I'm supposed to do, I don't know πŸ˜•. Someone will point the way.

FYI - 60 seconds after I wrote this, my ironing board fell over. Bummer. Hasn't done that for awhile. It makes a loud noise, but at least nothing is blown out or destroyed. Not tearing up stuff is a good thing.

Personally, I think messages from our other people is the highest. Astral voyages happen, but when you see and talk with them, that's the biggie? Especially if they answer questions. I did realize on one of my last ones that I had grown too lax. I was cracking jokes and having fun. I'm going to step away for a little while. They probably need to be taken seriously. I have a terrible sense of humor though, but this isn't the place.

YVE - to clarify this, I felt it was important, this was a NDE. I had lost too much blood and went to sleep. No one knew this, including me, until the blood work came back. I woke about 1 minute before a nurse came running into the room, then the doc. It felt pretty calm to me, and no big deal. The doc told me women had more blood in their, per pound, or I'd be gone as a man.

YVE - I really admire your knowledge in your posts. I don't research anything because it seems so natural and I don't want it mess that up. If that makes sense. That's why I like this site. I want pure experience intrepretted by the knowledgeable. Both are important. I felt there were levels. I have actually gone through them, one by one. It freaked me - I was just 29, twenty years ago. There were six or eight of them. The last one was great. I wanted to stay. I was told a flat out no which was embarrassing.

Glenda...Hi! I think there are different categories of dreams.
1) Dreams that replay our awake time.
2) Our subconscious mind sorting out issues.
3) Messages from angels, spirits, and spirit guides.
4) Messages from the Universe via our Higher Self (the premonitions, etc).
5) Memories of our astral trips.
There are probably more. 😊
I don't have memories about my astral trips, but I do remember the catalepsy.
Sometimes my dreams are a combination of 2 categories.

Are dreams and astral voyages the same? I've always known things. One day, at 10 years old, I kept asking my dad about car wrecks. No one ever thought, mentioned, or talked about them in particular. I did it to him all day long. Finally he told me to "shut-up" that I was making him "nervous." He was one of the most mellow people I've ever known and he never said the word "shut-up" before or after. That evening we were with my Uncle Bill, who was driving, and I was quiet like my dad said to be. An elderly man pulled right out in front of my uncle who jerked the wheel. We rolled 3 times down a steep embankment. Well, now I've voyaged to things a couple of times that happened in the future, major world events. But perhaps we dream, remember, and sense things later but don't know why because we vaguely recall those dreams (voyages) but not wholly. Perhaps astral voyages are just remembering leaving in our dreams.

beef46... Well if I'm wrong I like to be wrong on the side of caution. My first thing that I would try is when you are first aware of this happening is to say the Lords prayer in your mind... And see if anything different happens. It maybe Astral Catalepsy but if this has happened several times a month for a few months you should recognize if the see through spirit is you. So try the Lords prayer first... And let us know!

Thats also happining to me too... I didn't know what's that before and I was afraid but not now:D YVE72 was explaned it very well:D
But in the other hand scientists believe that, this is an illness... Its called "false awakening syndrome"... They are telling that your brain is waking up but your body can't (when you are soooo tired)... So you can't move your body and you can't scream... Even you can feel like you can't breath... But they can't explane what's the thing that you saw on your head while "false awakening syndrome" is happening to you... Not everybody seeing it... So I believe yours is what YVE72 explaned as mine...
I hope that helps 😁

Hi beef46... What you are experiencing is called "Astral Catalepsy". Scientists call it "Sleep Paralysis".

When you sleep, your spirit/copy of you leaves your physical body and goes wherever. This is called Astral Projection or an Out-of-Body Experience (OBE). Some people have OBE's when the meditate.

Anyway, when your spirit tries to return to your physical body it does not always go smoothly. Your physical body may feel like its paralyzed, being held down, choked, or molested and you are unable to speak. Sometimes your physical eyes will see the spirit/copy of you trying to get back in. I think that is what the "shadow people" phenomenon is about. I think the shadow people are the astral projections of others.

I admit it is frightened when you don't know what's happening. Ask God (or whomever) to give you a smooth re-entry and the problem should fade. I was scared until I heard it explained, but since then it has never happened since.

Google "astral projection", "astral catalepsy", "OBE", "sleep paralysis" and "shadow people" for more information.

Peace & blessings. 😊
