Being Visited Every Night When I Go To Bed

I am a 63 year old widower. About two months ago when I go to bed there is something I feel sitting down on the side of the bed. Now I feel them trying to get my pillow I put between my legs at night. I am a side sleeper, so whatever side I face they go to the back side. It happens every night when I go to bed. Within the first five minutes they start. I lay there when I feel them on the bed I raise up and they quit and start again as soon lay back down. I would really like to know if anyone else has ever had this happen. I just lay there until I go to sleep. I have never said anything to whatever it is. I would just like to know what it is and should I be afraid of it. I lost my husband in 2011 with a massive heart-attack. He was not having trouble with his heart. I never got to tell him goodbye. I want to think it is him I am feeling, but I don't know what to do to find out. I am not scared of it. I live by myself. I doesn't bother me any other time only when I go to bed. Please can someone help me to figure this out. There has been a couple of times that I stayed the night at my mother's house, and I could feel something sit down on the side of the bed. A couple nights ago it felt like they had laid down on the bed. That was the first time it had happened. I am at my wicks end about this. When I talk to my family I think they think I am crazy. None of them has ever experienced anything like this and I probably wouldn't believe it myself if it wasn't happening to me. So please can anyone help.

Hi lindaf4I

Your experience reminded me of mine, so I decided to write something down to calm you.
I've felt for a long time a presence in my bedroom when I go to sleep. It felt like the air in the room was thick.
That presence laid once on my bed beside me and he sighed like he was very tired. The energy I felt from him told me it was my grandfather. He also kicked with his foot once in my bed and woke me up. Maybe he wanted my attention for some reason. I'd say he's just taking care of me.
What I want to say, don't worry and don't be afraid. He is like your guardian angel.

Thank you Anne. I am glad someone else has feeled it. I only bothers me at night when I go to bed. My husband knew I sleep with a pillow between my legs. I worked in a supermarket on concret floors and the pillow helped my aching legs. Last night it started trying to my pillow and I just laid there and then finally fell asleep. I got a call early this morning and when I raised up to get my phone it felt like it had been asleep and raised up when I did. It has never tryed to hurt or scare me. And I'm not afraid of it. I haven't ran from it or go to another room to sleep. Since I have never had anything like this happen to me I didn't know if I should be afraid of it.

I have had someone sit on my bed like that but not so consistently as yourself. I would not be surprised at all if it was your late husband. It doesn't seem to mean you any harm and just appears to want to be around you. We are at our most "sensitive" coming in and out of sleep so this may be the window they need for you to notice. If it starts to bother you, you can always ask it to please leave you in peace. And if it doesn't, know you are looked over, which can be comforting.

Thanks for sharing.
Anne
