My story is very similar to many others. Let me start at the beginning.
When I was little my mother would take me to the beach. One day the waves took me under and I saw colorful fish that were glowing, and a woman's face. Now thinking back I think it was a mermaid.anyways, that was only my first encounter with the unexplained.
A few weeks ago, or months rather, my grandmother gave me a necklace that she had as a girl growing up. The following day I was in church and wearing it when all of a sudden I was filled with a fire in my chest and throat, (just to clarify I don't go to church often, but I was at a communion). I then looked at the candle across from me and everywhere I looked the flame followed me. A few weeks later the burning came back and that night when I saw a candle I could move it. When the candle was extinguished, I felt weaker and like something leaving me. Then I tried lighting a candle and moving it and it worked, whether it was with my eyes or hands. When I felt calm the candle stayed still. When I felt energetic it would act like that too, and follow my movements. This goes against the mermaid showing herself to me, I don't really understand this. Fire and water are total opposites. So far I can only control small flames, but I'm still practicing. Fire is both a dangerous and beautiful thing.
My question is, should I continue and practice? And what do I do with this? Is it worth it? If I have to be honest, I'm even terrified of myself. I've told my friend and she doesn't believe me, neither do my parents. Is this a blessing, or a curse?
