Greetings all readers,
Before I go into detail about my past occurences which still lead me fairly curious, I'd like to give a little background on myself and where I am with spirituality. I have been very curious about Astral Projection/Out-of-Body Experiences and I have been studyin this subject in my down time for the best part of 5 and a half years. I'm in my early adulthood now and know an awful lot more than I did.
Most of the research I have done is through this site and through authors who have had these experiences. (I will list these at the bottom of this story.)
Anyway, some of this could be related to Astral Projection or vaguely remote viewing. I practice astral projection irregularly and have had some results, but not got to the stage where I have had a conscious projection.
On one such encounter, it was approaching 1 a.m. And I thought I'd try to Astral Project. I sat downstairs on the sofa and used binaural beats to aid in my goal. I shut my eyes and kept still and got past the point of where my limbs were heavy and lightly tingling, perhaps somewhat paralysed. My feet were resting on a footrest that were supporting my legs too, so I didn't really expect what happened next.
It was either my mind's eye or my third eye that I saw 2 small creatures moving the footrest across the room and against the armchair in front of me. They looked at me and then looked at each other then stared at me. (I had turned the light off, so it was hard to distinguish them fully.) The best way I can describe the creatures were a cross between a racoon and a spider monkey/marmoset. Both were black and white across their bodies.
In light of that, plus it was dark and I then felt vulnerable, I aborted my attempt to project. Amidst the confusion, I went to bed. The next morning I was surprised I didn't have a lucid dream, but as I looked back on the event, even now, I wish I had followed through.
On another occurence I was at home one afternoon and I had just come home from school. I was very tired that day because I had been on a navigational walk up in the hills that day as part of a Public Services project. I went to bed and as I was just falling asleep, I could vividly see the top of one of the hills and with very little control, I felt I could possibly project if I steer this visualisation to jump down the hill and glide through the sky, but to no avail, as if I try to visualise turning my head without turning my head, the image fades away.
Similarly, a few months ago, I had something similar as I was trying to sleep. Every time I shut my eyes, I would have a vivid image of being sat on the sofa downstairs. I would roll over to try and get back to sleep. It was so bad that I had to get up and go downstairs to tire myself out by staying awake before I tried to get some sleep again. I stayed up for about an hour and it happened again, but fewer times. Again, I regret not letting it take me away, as I know that this is an exit techniques, but again, it was dark and I felt vulnerable.
I have had one other experience when I was on a course for a new job and I was staying a week in accommodation provided for me. The first day I got there, I was very tired from the journey down, the introductory class and having to walk everywhere. I went to sleep and 7:30 that night. At 4:10 a.m., my body went completely numb as if it was the vibrational state before an Astral Projection. I tryed to let it happen this time, but I knew I was still half-asleep as I could hear myself groaning in my sleep. I thought I saw a shadowy figure in the room, but it was dark and I couldn't focus properly, still being half-asleep, but somewhat conscious. It was over by about 4:20 a.m., and I awoke at 7:30 that morning.
Any insights would be appreciated. Thank you for reading.:-)

I have yet to actually leave my body, but I feel that inducing visions is also something worth doing. I have learnt that it's actually good to get out of the body, and whilst out, sit down and chant "Om". It's known to have even more profound experiences by doing as such.
Thanks again for your comment.
