My husband and I have always considered our youngest son, Gabriel 8 1/2 years old, a "free spirit". He truly walks to the beat of a different drum, and we love that about him. However, in the last couple of days he has shared some information with us that I'm not sure how to respond to.
It started with my husband returning home from a walk after dark. He came in excited and a little freaked because he said he had just seen a floating ball of light hovering near our neighbor's driveway, and then just disappear. He said he could not explain what he saw because that was no apparent source for this ball of light. Our kids were excited and curious about Dad's experience and decided to walk our dog the next morning around our neighbor's drive. Gabriel came back shaking and totally freaked out by what he had seen.
Here is his story as it was told to me: He saw a mirror image of him self (walking the dog), crossing the street about 15 feet up the street. He said that it was him wearing the same shirt, pants and shoes and that "he" was holding the leash with our dog was walking in front. When this mirror image got to the curb, it disappeared, first the dog, then the leash, and then the image of himself. He was truly shaken and I believe HE believed what he reported to me.
Okay, so now it gets even more interesting. I asked him has he ever seen anything like this before and he said he sees a man in our house. He describes his appearance and told me all the places he has seen him. He tells me he saw this man in our last 2 houses too. I asked when is the first time he remembers seeing him, he answers at his 4th birthday. He remembers sitting at the dinner table with his brother, my parents, and his dad and me. And the man sitting with us. I had to struggle to recall his 4th birthday, but he was completely accurate. He says the man feels like he is probably a nice person and he feels likes he wants to tell Gabriel hello and that he's not imagining seeing him. I asked if he has seen the man outside of home and he says he was at the state park where our family celebrated memorial day, sometimes hanging out at the top of the trees.
When Gabriel was about 2 1/2 years old, he told me when he was an angel in heaven, he looked down and choose me to be his mom. So I bring this topic up again today, and he does remember this memory. He went on to say that he was on top of the clouds with a couple of other angels and they were playing something like spin the bottle to choose their destination. He talked about how they communicated in a really high pitch, "kind of like dolphins" but not real words. Also he described how they didn't have full wings but "wing fins" that could lay flat when they're not flying. Lastly, he said he flew down through the roof, the top floor, middle floor to the bottom apartment and into my stomach. We moved from that apartment and into our first house when Gabriel was 15 months old.
I could use some advice on my next step, or if there needs to be a next step. I told my son that he may have a gift, a sixth sense, and shouldn't feel afraid. It's a blessing.
We do sit up there in the clouds and when a baby is about to be born and we want those parents and that life, that is when we "the soul" comes part of that baby (as soon as it takes its first breath).
Truly an inspiring story. ❤
