Premonitory dreams, premonitions, perhaps some clairvoyance. A sensing personality type.

Sometimes. 'Psychic abilities' are a function of one's brain. It's an ability such as intelligence, or creativity. We do inherit intellectual capacities from our parents. Think of it like a part of the brain that is more developed in certain individuals. Spiritual access is available to all people but not everyone chooses to develop it. A bit like the capacity to play a sport. There are also cases of people that grew up in unsafe environments so they learned to be more alert, or their personal boundaries were not very strong. These people 'learned' to pick up details around them out of hyper alertness. So their abilities were not inherited but caused by stress. And of course there are cases of individuals born extremely gifted, almost as if destined to share their capacities with others.

>>What causes visions? Do I need to protect myself from spirits?

Consciously tell yourself that your entire being is yours and nothing is allowed to bother it. I've read that salt does guard a person. However I think this is for cases where a spirit is troublesome. This is extremely rare.

It's normal to feel worried because you're young, and you're wondering what to do with your abilities. Psychics don't 'do' much with their abilities, it just becomes part of who they are. With time you'll figure out how to be most comfortable with it.

It's not 'evil'. Nothing is bad unless you choose to use it in a way that's harmful to others. God would be very cruel if he allowed us to have such powers without our consent, then punished us for it... It doesn't make sense. Your beliefs can be used to give beneficial grounding to your experiences. If you believe in a higher power of good, then use that to feel guided as you explore these metaphysical topics. And if something really scares you, ask for that higher energy to protect you. Also if you sense something bad will happen to someone, throw a prayer out there, or positive thoughts for that person. Don't take responsibility if something bad does occur, but a single good thought can do wonders sometimes.

Some psychics are evil individuals. There are people out there who pretend to have abilities just to rip people off. And there are people who consciously draw power from demonic energy. They freely choose to do harm. A Gnostic perspective will be very different on the topic from a scientific one. There is no 1 answer that will satisfy everybody. The word psychic is too broad. People have had premonitory dreams always. The majority of people I know have had at least one. It's normal.

We're all connected in many ways. Psychics are people who are more aware of this.

As for the emotional part, I think fear comes more from anticipation. Thoughts like: what if I see something really scary, or where will these experiences lead me, etc. These are anxiety thoughts and are not real. Try to experience something only when/if it happens. There's no guarantee you'll ever have another vision again. So don't scare yourself ahead of time:D

Ps People who think they're crazy are usually the sanest.

One of the amazing benefits of meditating is that you learn to deal with your fears. Meditating doesn't just improve your abilities it can make you mentally stronger. This is why I always recommend meditation.
I myself do not need to cope, I have long since accepted my abilities and what come with it.
My abilities are part of who I am.

Thank you lilylove & crazy14. I was reading a lot online & everyone has something different to say to go with their own beliefs, so there weren't many straight answers. Also I will try to meditate more. Another's thing do either of you have a way that you emotional cope with all this, because it kind of freaks me out & I don't know how to get over it. & again thank you. Also do you know the names of the abilities I have? I would like to look the, up.

While psychics can actually be evil and choose to use their powers for evil, they usually come from god.
The bible actually would support psychic ablities as coming from god. Many prophets or even jesus in the bible actually use what we would classify as psychic abilities. Controlling the elements (moses parting the red sea, jesus calming a storm, etc.
Future seeing (john writing revelations, much of isaiah, all prophets seem to have this ability actually)
Telepathy (jesus perceives peoples thoughts on numerous occasions)
Healing (done by jesus all throughout the old testament followed by the apostles)
Pretty much every psychic ability was actually done by someone in the bible already.
The question then is can an ordinary person also have such gifts to some degree. The answer would also have to be yes since there were plenty of miracles wrought by people who weren't actually prophets.
Also like lilylove said meditation or prayer is a good way to get to learn to control your abilities. I personally feel it is kind of important to understand just where your abilities are coming from.

Lets see where should I begin.

Psychics are not evil nor do our abilities come from an evil place. Our abilities are a gift from God. The Bible is umm complicated.
The gut feeling you get is your sixth sense or intuition depending on how you want to call it.
Your dreams that come true are precognitive dreams meaning you have
Precognition: dreaming of the future
Its one of the same abilities we have in common besides empathy.
Truth is we all are psychic but for several reasons many will deny their abilities and by denying their abilities, it causes their abilities to shut off. But if we were all willing to admit that we had psychic abilities
Everything would be different.

The most confusing thing about being a psychic is that we question, what does it mean to be psychic?
In my opinion I believe this is something we have to discover for ourselves because only then through experience, you would know what it means to be psychic.
You can control your abilities by meditating. Meditating allows us to control our abilities.
I have no idea if salt can harm spirits but that is an excellent question.
