This is my first submission and in all truth I'm not exactly sure why I'm sharing my story. I guess I just need to unburden myself a bit. Anyway, I've been having odd experiences since I was probably around seven, but things have really gotten to be just more since I was about sixteen. I'm twenty-eight now. What has been slightly more then disturbing was earlier in April I was frequently seeing a human sized and shaped shadow. It wasn't like a shadow cast from a light being behind an object, it defied what normal shadow behavior is like. It hasn't just been in one place. It was in my room, the dining room, and I even saw it a few times while driving. I saw something very similar to it when I was in a cemetery one time, and that scared the heck out of me. This thing doesn't scare me at all. It probably should but all I feel when I see it is a sense of anxiety, which I just ignore.
I was so concerned that I actually went to see an optometrist and paid full price due to a lack of health insurance. I was worried that perhaps I was experiencing retinal detachment, which by all accounts would not be good. I found out that the only thing wrong with my eyes or vision at all was I'm near sighted. I already knew that. Ok and apparently I have an extra blood vessel in my right eye, which in the world of eyes is apparently a big deal because the doctor said "cool." I'm glad I have no detachment issues going on but I am concerned that I'm experiencing some sort of hallucination. But it just doesn't seem like a hallucination. I have experienced hallucinations before. The last time was when I had a very high fever the last time I had the flu and I could tell I was seeing things that weren't really there. These events have a very different feel then when I hallucinated when I had the flu.
The physical description of this thing is:
It's about 5'9" to 5'11, solid black with no real discerning features other than it's definitely not a flat shadow. It's more three dimensional. Also it makes me feel relatively anxious. I've seen this thing straight on and also out of the corner of my eye. One more crazy thing is I've seen it when it was pitch black in my room and also during the sunniest of days, it's general shape and color never alter.
I'm just curious what everyone thinks of this. Sorry I didn't really delve deeper into my past experiences before these events but I'd like to focus on this for now. Thoughts anyone?
